- PPPW3 days ago1.0I spent $48 at Tropics Jerk Center and honestly I was really disappointed. My fish was very bland with little to no flavor, like it wasn’t seasoned at all. I also ordered the jerk pork and only received about five very small pieces, and most of them were mostly fat. The curry goat and the other items we ordered just didn’t taste good overall. I used to love coming here because the food used to be really good, but lately the quality seems to have gone downhill. For the amount of money I spent, I expected much better. The jerk pork tasted okay, but the fish and curry goat were definitely not worth $48. I really hope they can get back to how the food used to be, because right now the dishes were lacking flavor and didn’t live up to what I remember.

My son is allergic to beans I also told the cashier this before I ordered, it is small pieces of beans in the white rice not too many but it’s there. I also ordered two size of mac & cheese and two juices. The juice was the best thing, everything else was not worth my money. Or my time.

Today I finally was in their area and decided to try the full menu and lawd have mercy everything EVERYTHING was fresh and cooked to order, it seems. From the jerk pork, fried chicken, oxtails, and Rasta pasta everything tasted GREAT! The price was right and the quantity was easily more than enough. Their house hot sauce is good as well and different. To the chef and the establishment thank you and please don’t change a thing about what you’re doing. This is a must visit.
