Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Instead of giving what we ordered, they basically made everything standard. My sister had to take my nephew's sandwich back twice. I, on the other hand, opened my sandwich and noticed that it had cheese on it and hair. I went to the register to get a refund and saw two of workers not wearing a hair net. When the cashier went to the back, I heard one of them ask: Was it mine? While the other worker asked: What's wrong with it now? (She was the one fixing the burgers while not wearing a hair net.) I will say this: The cashier was PHENOMENAL! She handled every issue with such grace and poise. If I had to go back, it would only be because of her. I did not get her name but she was the only running the register on 12/14/2025 around 5pm. She had on all black, heavy set, Caucasian lady with glasses and as SWEET AS COULD BE! Because of her, I gave the service 3 stars and atmosphere 3 stars. Otherwise, I would give it everything a 1 star rating.
