Hear me out because this one may be long but worth the read please!!
I had put an order in on Uber eats and unfortunately the first driver stole my order. It kept getting bounced around to driver to driver, and every one that got there was told it was already taken.
So instead of informing me, UberEats just sends it off to the next driver. 5 DRIVERS LATER, (that’s on me for having it bounce to so many people)
I contact the store and am told the situation. Then an absolutely ANGEL of a woman named Tammy said if I could come in myself and show her the order she’d be happy to remake it for me. (Which, yes, defeats the purpose of it being delivered but I got delivery because I have a gnarly chest cold and couldn’t bother to just go there. I learned my lesson.)
Not wanting to loose out on $30+ of dinner for my family and I, I went to the store myself and once I came in, Tammy was already at the register putting my order in that she had gotten from the 6th UberEats driver they bounced it to before I got it canceled. She said she was hoping that it’d be ready by the time I had gotten there but gave me a drink while I waited for it.
Tammy is an absolute saint. I have been sick for the past week now and just wanted something quick and warm.
Tammy not only saved my dinner, but truly made me feel so seen and actually cared for. I could tell she really did feel bad about the whole thing and went ABOVE & BEYOND to remedy and fix the whole situation.
Y'all need to give this woman and the rest of the staff on duty a raise. I truly would recommend this location SOLELY because of the Angel Tammy. I truly hope that Tammy sees this and that y’all do the right thing and give Tammy everything she deserves!!!!!!
I usually just hit the drive-thru, unless it’s super busy, but today was quiet—like one or two cars in line. I was really dehydrated (not their fault) and decided to go inside to grab a drink. But things quickly went downhill.
I walked in and there was no one at the counter, so I waited a bit and then went to the washroom. When I came back, still no one. After about 10 minutes, a family finished eating and left, but there was no staff. So, I ended up calling a friend to pass the time.
Then, a very nice lady came in, and decided to use the kiosk to place her order. But she explained she was paying in cash, so she had to place it in person. I tried to get someone’s attention, but I was completely ignored, which was weird because that never happens to me. Most people are usually super friendly towards me.
Anyway, I just wanted a simple agua fresca, but this turned into a whole mess. There was this young guy, literally in plain sight, who acted like he couldn't see. I said “Excuse me, sir” a couple times, and he still didn’t respond. It was honestly kind of hilarious, but frustrating too. I felt bad for the lady behind me who got ignored as well until someone finally came to help.
It’s just Taco Bell, so I don’t have super high expectations, but come on—take the order, serve the food, and keep it moving. No need for extra smiles or anything, just be efficient. Today, though, that didn’t happen. Hopefully, they clean house soon! Not for me, because I'm not even from here. Im only here for school, but for all of these hard-working people who are just trying to get their food and go. Respect your elders at the very least!!
