Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Mixed reviews on food quality; some enjoyed the burgers while others found them bland or poorly assembled.

Probably wouldn't hurt the young African American boy working the drive thru today so learn more words other than "yup" when someone keeps saying thank you. Bad job to have with child like vocabulary. Fries were old and gross and the tea tastes like it was made at 5am. Disgusting. First bad experience at whataburger was my first visit at this location.

Stop at this location for breakfast. The service was great and food was hot. This breakfast on the bun hit the spot with my ice coffee. I’ll be back for dinner.

I’m a chain fan but this location is horrible. Been here several times and the food is good but the drive through is total disaster. Could have eaten inside faster.

I ordered an Avocado Bacon Burger for lunch on 9/23/25. They made me pull off to the side lane and wait to get it.... and what I finally got was disgusting. Half bun, half Texas Toast, cold meat and congealed cheese. It was as if they took half of a reject burger and added it to the toppings of what I had ordered. I couldn't eat it.
I reached out multiple times, opened many help tickets, and have heard nothing back. I will not be returning and would not advise anyone get food here.

Excellent burgers. Made fresh and just delicious. We don't have one in our city, so when I am out of town and find one, it's always a treat. Clean restaurant. Very polite staff, they bring your food to your table and offer condiments like ketchup. A must try.
