I usually just hit the drive-thru, unless it’s super busy, but today was quiet—like one or two cars in line. I was really dehydrated (not their fault) and decided to go inside to grab a drink. But things quickly went downhill.
I walked in and there was no one at the counter, so I waited a bit and then went to the washroom. When I came back, still no one. After about 10 minutes, a family finished eating and left, but there was no staff. So, I ended up calling a friend to pass the time.
Then, a very nice lady came in, and decided to use the kiosk to place her order. But she explained she was paying in cash, so she had to place it in person. I tried to get someone’s attention, but I was completely ignored, which was weird because that never happens to me. Most people are usually super friendly towards me.
Anyway, I just wanted a simple agua fresca, but this turned into a whole mess. There was this young guy, literally in plain sight, who acted like he couldn't see. I said “Excuse me, sir” a couple times, and he still didn’t respond. It was honestly kind of hilarious, but frustrating too. I felt bad for the lady behind me who got ignored as well until someone finally came to help.
It’s just Taco Bell, so I don’t have super high expectations, but come on—take the order, serve the food, and keep it moving. No need for extra smiles or anything, just be efficient. Today, though, that didn’t happen. Hopefully, they clean house soon! Not for me, because I'm not even from here. Im only here for school, but for all of these hard-working people who are just trying to get their food and go. Respect your elders at the very least!!
