  Food is delicious and well prepared. Menu features good variety of selections. Fried calamari is excellent. Great place to celebrate occasions. Staff (serving and kitchen) very accommodating.

  I want to start by saying this review is based only on my most recent visit—Trattoria 141 has honestly been one of my all-time favorites, and I’ve made it a point to visit at least once a year. That said, this experience was really disappointing. There was a piece of aluminum in my Alfredo—not something small or barely noticeable, but a sharp strip about 3 inches long, likely from a can. It was hidden underneath the pasta and sauce, so if I hadn’t noticed it before taking a bite, it could have been a serious issue. What left a worse impression, though, was how the situation was handled. It's understandable dinner service can get busy, but everything felt rushed when this should be the exception. When I told the server, it was a quick apology and a promise of a replacement in 5 minutes. My guest and I were already pressed for time, and I would have preferred the option to cancel the dish or take it to go instead. That wasn’t really considered—it was just taken away and replaced automatically. At the very least, I expected the dish might be comped given the situation, but it wasn’t. Again, this place has been a favorite of mine for years, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. I’m hoping this was just a one-off, but it definitely changed how I feel about returning.

  The atmosphere was great. Service was good but the food was actually just average. My veal scallopini was overcooked. The desserts were delicious but as a whole I would give it a 7 out of 10.
