The food was fine, though one of my sons did not get the correct burger and he did not get the fries we ordered. The restaurant was clean and most of the workers were hard at it. The one working the register was clueless and slow. When I asked for sauce to go with my other son's chicken finger basket, he said it was an extra charge. I told him fine, I still wanted it. He said it was in the back of the store. It was clear he had no intent to get any sauce and we had already been waiting about 30 minutes for our order. The lobby was packed with people waiting for their orders. While we were waiting, my wife struck up a conversation with another couple who said they come to Jeckyll Island yearly, and Dairy Queen is typically this overcrowded because it is consistently understaffed. This is a persistent problem, so expect to wait a long time for your food and be prepared to get the wrong order. Can't blame the workers when they are running their tales off (except for Buford up front). Since there is no other fast food available on the island, Dairy Queen has no other competition and no motivation to increase staffing.
In case the responses to these reviews are not AI generated - Dairy Queen, don't bother saying you are sorry and ask if I want to share more. The owner of that restaurant is not sorry as he or she is raking in the bucks saving money on payroll. If anyone out there has a little cash to invest in a fast food place on the island, you'll make a killing. And...that's the only way this Dairy Queen will improve its service.

Only two individuals working. Order was messed up and manager had to correct. Took over 15 minutes to get food. Then found a dead bug in fries. Told/showed manager and got “what do you want me to do?” Told him I would be concerned. He didn’t seem concerned and acted as if I put the bug there myself!

Food was okay but not many options. Ordered normal lemonade and received pink lemonade. Staff refused to fix. Ice cream was okay.
