Took an hour trip from our home to Helen knowing we would likely eat breakfast or lunch dependant on the time we arrive somewhere within the city limits. Based on our time of arrival we know Wendy's generally serves breakfast or lunch by a certain time depending on the day week and decided we would chose to dine there. As we were pulling in.. I noticed several signs displayed internally from their external windows indicating the location does not serve breakfast (which implies they aren't open). To clarify (but irrelevant) we had a party of 6 split between two sedans as we intended to do some touring/shopping before relaxing at a local state park for the day. Within the 8 seconds it took for us to park in the very small parking lot and then an additional 10 seconds where my wife walked to my car... I told her that I saw the signs that indicated this location doesn't serve breakfast. Meanwhile as we quickly were investigating if they serve lunch at 10:30 or 11:00am a very rude and disrespectful female employee walked out the entrance door of the restaurant and immediately started an aggressive monologue (and I seriously mean that as if it rehearsed) about how we are about to have our vehicles towed if we don't leave immediately. We had only parked our cars for maybe 10 to 15 seconds to discuss amongst our party that apparently they don't serve breakfast and while I was instantly investigating their official hours this buffoon had started her rant. It was 10:28am when we pulled in and parked and their opening hour for April 3rd, 2026 (Good Friday) was 10:30am. My wife responded to her 2 times that we are quite literally and immediately are about to provide our patronage.... However she went on babbling "... well you'll have the leave immediately the moment your given your food...". Regardless of whether we dine in or reasonably finish our business with 'the business' all I could ascertain is that unlike all the other businesses and shops in the immediate area...evidently this specific national chain location absolutely does not value customers (I don't care whether it is corporate or franchise owned) it is appalling to see such disservice. I've never been one for confrontation or hell to even post a review. That is pretty significant for me... but her disrespectful tone and the fact that no reasonable person would have just assumed we were loitering is disheartening. The crazy part is I believe her, the specific business, and others would actually initiate tow requests. I don't have the time or money to conduct my patronage with a business that would threaten that whilst just starting their commerce for the day. And before anyone makes an assumption.. we were strictly and specifically only there in search of a meal and conducting business. We have been to Helen many of times during peak and off peak visitations and while I think private parking is a little bit of a rip off from time to time... I have always conducted business and moved on.

I had a great experience at Wendy’s. The environment is clean and well-organized, making it a very pleasant place to stay. The staff was very polite and courteous. The order was prepared quickly, well-served, and at a great price. It’s a great spot to enjoy a good meal and also to sit, relax, and have a conversation after walking around the city.

Stone cold fries and burger. Ordered at Noon, but food taste like it’s been sitting for hours. This is 2nd time in a row that burger and fries were cold. Recommend Wendy’s corporate get involved to retrain and relaunch this location.
