Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Yesterday before the Georgia vs Texas Game I pulled into the drive thru and ordered a bacon burger meal with large onion rings and a rootbeer medium size . While pulling up to the window a occurrence was happening in the suv that had previously received their order and was waiting on thw rest of their order to be brought to them. It was quite the spectacle . The management and the young emplee handled it with aplomb and de-escalated the incident. I have been to this establishment several times now and have been very happy with the service and friendly efficient staff. Lexi especially remembers me and my predilection for a burger no cheese. 😂. The food was hot fresh and tasty, loads of condiments. The onion rings are easily the best in Gainesville. Even the rootbeer is formulated with a little bit extra bite . Perfect accompaniment to watch the BULLDOGS put on a beating on Texas. Go Dawgs and thank you Lexi for making my experience at whataburger terrific!!!

We thought maybe it was just a management problem but apparently not. Ordered two double meat and cheese Whataburgers. Didn’t get doubles. The food is stone cold, fixings were incorrect also. The fries were stone cold and old… not just from being in transit. I mean as having sat for a while. The entire meal looks disgusting. Tried to call the store and no one would answer. I don’t know what has happened to this place, but it’s not the Texas icon I grew up on. This will be the last time we go there and I’ll encourage others to steer clear as well. So. Gross.

Proceeded to hand us the wrong receipt. Glad she didn’t make us pay for his order. Now waiting 20 minutes on our food. Gonna be late for church. McDonald’s is faster and better. Thanks a lot Makayla G. We will not be coming back to this location.

As we drove by Whataburger she said she had heard some good things about the place but she had never eaten there. I talked her into turning the car around and driving back to Whataburger. We both ordered the #1 all the way. We both agreed it was a great choice. She agreed we had to go there again
