I had the fried biscuits, Cognac wings, and the honey hot chicken biscuit… my God. Whatever magic they’re putting in those biscuits, I need in on it. That honey hot chicken biscuit gave me a mix of mama’s cooking and a little Colonel Sanders all in one bite.
The vibe is very ATL chic, and the artisanal drinks feel like Buckhead’s finest. I’m not gonna lie, I fell in love all over again. Service was on point too, and they were super patient while I handled a little business. This might really be my new brunch spot. I’ll definitely be back.

I’m am disappointed that the food was not as expected. For $20, I was under the impression that I would be getting 3 WHOLE wings with my chicken and waffles as the photo suggests; however, it was 5 wing pieces. When I inquired about it, the guy that gave me my order insisted there were whole wings cut in half which doesn’t make sense because there 3 pieces of a wing. If the wings were, in fact, cut up, I’d have 9 wing pieces: 3 drums, 3 flats, and 3 tips. The chicken flavor was good though. Also, the Ricotta Sauce was very skimpy. It barely covered the bottom of the sauce cup but I did have plenty of the strawberries. Overall, if the food is not going to come like the photo, the photos need to be updated to reflect what actually will be served. People eat with their eyes first. That is the whole point of putting photos on a menu. The fried green tomatoes were soggy. Photos were taken immediately after getting the order to my car in their parking lot.

This was my first time, trying this spot out. The parking was convenient. Server started was good because she had good conversation while I was waiting for my mom to arrive. We had fried green tomatoes, 2 sweet teas which were really good, a side of French toast, the Creamy Cat and Deeper Dive. 18% gratuity is automatically added to all tabs which isn’t a biggie but after dropping the food the server never came back to see if we needed anything. I’d def still come back because overall I enjoyed it.

Charm Carries the Night When the Details Fall Short
Eat My Biscuits in Eastpointe has a genuinely warm atmosphere that pulls you in the moment you cross the threshold. The space reads as inviting and unpretentious, the kind of place that feels designed for lingering rather than rushing through a meal. My visit fell on a Thursday with a friend, drawn specifically by the advertised Conversations over Cocktails event listed as running 5 to 10pm.
Rod was the uncontested highlight of the entire evening. Funny, attentive without being intrusive and genuinely personable, he set a tone that made the subsequent surprises easier to absorb. A server who reads the table that well is rare. Rod earns a 10 without hesitation.
Now for the honest part.
The menu skews heavily toward fried proteins with no vegetarian options listed beyond a basket of fries. As a vegetarian that lands as a gap worth addressing. Rod took the concern to the kitchen and owner Vanetta stepped up by offering to prepare Fried Green Tomatoes off-menu. That kind of flexibility deserves recognition and the dish arrived seasoned and genuinely delicious. The chicken wing basket my friend ordered drew equal praise on flavor. Both portions of fries however were noticeably skimpy for the price point.
The biscuit situation warrants a direct conversation. A restaurant named Eat My Biscuits reasonably sets the expectation that biscuits anchor the experience. Learning they are served only from 9am to 3pm at a dinner-focused event felt disconnected from the brand promise. Vanetta explained the labor behind making them herself which is understandable, though the solution of extended hours or a prep cook seems worth exploring for a concept built around that signature item.
The Conversations over Cocktails event also didn't begin until 7:30pm despite 5pm being the advertised start time. For guests who planned their evening around that specific draw the gap created an awkward stretch.
Vanetta's willingness to visit the table and engage directly shows ownership investment that many restaurants lack. The food quality is genuinely there. The experience just needs its logistics to catch up with its potential.
