  I had a really disappointing experience at NFA Burger. The owner came off rude and dismissive right from the start. When I tried to order a single burger for my girlfriend, who’s 5’1, he made a comment that “single burgers are usually for children,” which was unnecessary and honestly disrespectful. It got worse when I asked for the basic toppings she wanted like ketchup, lettuce, mayo, and onion and was told they don’t have any of it. The whole interaction felt strange and unwelcoming, and I wasn’t even given the chance to place the rest of what would have been a larger order. I was actually planning on ordering a double for myself and a double order of sides, but he cut me off before I could even get there. At that point, I just left without ordering anything. For context, I’m 215 pounds and eat a lot, so this wasn’t about ordering small, it was about ordering appropriately. I came here because of the hype around the burger, but great food doesn’t excuse poor service or attitude. I ended up going to Village Burger instead, my usual spot, where I was greeted with a smile, had zero issues customizing the order, and wasn’t questioned for something as simple as ordering a single burger. Safe to say, I won’t be back.

  I read that NFA Burger was one of the top spots for burgers in the ATL area, so I was excited to try it. We ordered a single and a double burger with fries. It was a little greasy, the to-go bag it was in had a nice softball size grease spot on it. I'd say for the price, it's a good burger, but would definitely not consider it one of the best places in Atl to get a burger. Staff was nice and made ordering easy.

  NFA has a really good burger and fry. They make their own sauce which is called the sassy sauce which is also good. Only thing is they don't offer many other options to add to your burger. You have to get it as is. They don't have mayo, and ketchup which are the traditional toppings on a burger. If you want ketchup you have to get it on the side. I heard about them about a year ago from tik tok. I've been coming every since.

  Overall I give this a 5/5! 🔥🍔 So to remove some concerns from the beginning…yes, this is at and inside a gas station! Did I have concerns at first as well… yes! BUT did those concerns disappear after I pulled up, after I ordered my food, and after I absolutely devoured and digested that smash burger (my first smash burger 🍔)? 100% YES. I made sure to do my research: YouTube, TikTok, Google reviews… you name it! So when we arrived, it was literally in a gas station… and there was a line out the door! That alone told me something was up. My wife and I ordered the Double The Classics (Two 2.75 oz patties, Mt. Olive pickles, American cheese, French’s mustard, Sassy Sauce on a Martin’s Potato Roll) and the Sassy fries (thin crinkle cut fries deep fried in beef tallow with a dusting of Sassy seasoning and served with Sassy Sauce on the side). Let me just say this is easily one of the best spots! The Dunwoody location is a MUST visit. No seats inside, but there are some picnic tables out back or you can take it home… trust me, it’s worth it either way. Trust me on this…burgers at a gas station like this?! GOLDEN. ✨🍔 And there is another location at the Avalon !!

  Damn good smash burger. But…there’s something about Village Burger that makes it superior. Maybe it’s because the burgers come with mustard and a mayo-based “sassy” sauce (which I was too scared to try as I hate Mayo). Mustard was obvious and not too dominating a taste but did take some getting used to as I am used to this on hot dogs not burgers. The antagonism towards ketchup is noteworthy and you have to specifically ask for this to dip your fries into otherwise you will get the “sassy” mayo based sauce. I prefer the VB model- build how you want instead of saying no sauce no mustard etc as everyone has different tastes and some people like ketchup in their burgers. Would give it a 9/10 as this smashburger/cheese/ and bread is as good as it’s gonna get. Seasoned fries are good but salted fries at VB are better. Also, the gas station model isn’t ideal if you like EtOH with your burger as I believe you have to purchase this at the separate gas station counter. The pro tip is to get the NFA burger delivered to your car and jet straight across the street to Moondog Growlers and eat it there with an incredible craft beer selection
