I've finally found my new favorite Indian restaurant! After my original favorite place changed ownership and moved away from curries, I have been searching for another restaurant to fill the void. Everything we ordered was great! The best dishes were the entrees which blew us away. The palak paneer was so creamy and had decadent, well cooked paneer. This was the first time we order lamb Rogan Josh and it did not disappoint. It was worth every penny and had tender, well seasoned lamb in nearly every bite. The wait staff was also extremely attentive as well. I only found this place as an advertisement on the back of my grocery receipt but I'm so glad I came and tried it out. I'll definitely be coming back again! And I'll definitely be recommending this location to my friends! I never knew this place existed, but I've been in this area countless times for the habachi place on the other side of the plaza. If habachi is ever full, come on here and try some tasty Indian food!
We have been going to Viceroy for many years, which is our ( only ) Indian restaurant of choice and either dine in or order out at least once a week. My favourite entree on the menu and which I order 99 percent of the time is ‘Salmon Tika Masala’, either mild plus or medium. ( its amazing how many people are surprised that this is available, but simply the best ?? ) My wife’s favourite entree of ‘Lamb Krahi’ which she has as medium.
As a starter, we always have ‘Shrimp Puri ’ - medium - to die for ! Also available as ‘Chana Puri’ for vegetarians and equally as delicious. Of curse the meal would not be complete with ‘Garlic Naan with butter’ and not to be missed.
The staff and management are just wonderful and the restaurant itself has style and great decor.
We recommend this restaurant to everyone - all the time ! DO yourself a favor.
Did someone new buy the restaurant? They have completely gotten rid of the lunch buffet. I came a few weeks ago and they still had it. Also, the recent reviews seem fake? They are getting flooded with new reviews, many of them not saying anything. And from accounts that have never reviewed elsewhere. Seems odd. Anyway. Hopefully the food quality stays the same. Unfortunately, my family and I wont be coming back. We have come here for a few years and would frequently have the buffet. Sad to see it go. Time to find a new buffet to like. First Sitar, now this one. 😔

There is a certain expectation one carries when ordering paneer tikka masala — a dish that should envelop the palate in warmth, depth, and gentle sweetness. At Viceroy, the paneer itself was tender and commendably prepared. Yet the first spoonful of gravy surprised me — a sharp sourness lingered where a velvety balance should have reigned. It was not unpleasant, merely discordant.
And yet, what separates a good restaurant from a memorable one is not perfection, but response. Upon mentioning the imbalance, the staff graciously replaced the dish with a different gravy. This time, harmony prevailed — richer, smoother, and far more befitting the paneer it accompanied.
The naan arrived warm, the atmosphere composed, the service attentive without intrusion. Viceroy may not have achieved flawlessness in its first attempt, but it demonstrated something equally important: care.
A restaurant willing to listen is a restaurant worth revisiting.

My partner and I had a reservation at Viceroy Indian Dining and were extremely disappointed by the unprofessional and disrespectful treatment we received. After being seated, we waited approximately 30 minutes to an hour just for water, and it was never brought to us. During this time, our server actively attended to other tables while completely skipping over us.
When I attempted to politely get the attention of the floor manager to request water, he put his hand up at me in a dismissive gesture and walked away without saying anything. This level of disrespect from management is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the establishment.
As a Black couple, being ignored and dismissed in this manner was deeply uncomfortable and concerning. We had a reservation and came in expecting basic courtesy and professionalism, but instead were treated as if we did not matter.
This experience was unacceptable, and I will be sharing this feedback publicly and with restaurant ownership. No guests should ever be treated this way. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses both the service standards and the conduct of their staff.
