But I am happy to pay the price for a fresh burger made immediately after you order it and fresh fries so hot they burn my mouth. However, that’s not what keeps us coming back. It’s the people. Every single time we eat at this location the employees are incredibly friendly. It’s like it’s the 1900’s again!! They say things like hello, how are you? How can we help you? Thank you so much for coming in to day etc etc etc. It is so refreshing to have a place that has a staff who seems to truly want to do a great job and provide excellent service. Could I go to other fast food places and get a burger for half the price? Sure. Would it be lukewarm, slapped together, and the person taking my money could also double as a zombie from the walking dead? Yep. As long as Five Guys continues to have amazing staff, I will continue to give them my money.

Five Guys began its pursuit to redefine the global burger landscape in 1986 when Jerry and Janie Murrell asked three of their sons whether they wanted to start a business or go to college. Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.

Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
