Terrible experience at McDonald’s Cornelia.
I placed order #945 and paid at 29.01.2026 01:07 PM using the self-service kiosk. After that, I waited around 30 minutes, but my order was never handed out.
When I asked the staff where my order was, they told me that there was no such order and started questioning me:
• whether I really paid,
• where I placed the order,
• what exactly was in the order.
For about 10 minutes, multiple employees tried to find my order, but failed. Eventually, one of the employees told me that I should pay for the order again.
I showed them the transaction in my online banking app proving that the order was paid for, but they still did not believe me. Different employees kept coming up, clearly confused about what was going on, and it felt like they were treating me as if I was trying to scam them.
On top of that, employees took my phone with greasy hands without my permission, walked around the kitchen with it, and showed it to other employees. This behavior was extremely rude, disrespectful, and unacceptable.
What makes this even worse is that my order was shown on the screen as “being prepared”, but the employees could not see it on their system.
In the end, the employee created a duplicate order without charging me again, and it was prepared in about 5 minutes. However, when I checked the bag, the burger was missing.
After that, the employee checked my order inside the bag with bare hands, without gloves, confirmed that the burger was missing, and instead of remaking the order, simply handed me a separate burger.
It is important to note that it was my son’s birthday, and I expected to get my order quickly, not waste 35 minutes arguing and proving that I had already paid.
This level of service is embarrassing for McDonald’s as a company. Complete disorganization, lack of trust toward the customer, and basic food safety concerns. I do not want to come back here again.
