Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The line could have ZERO people in it and you can wait 5-10 minutes for your food inside. It’s honestly ridiculous. It shouldn’t take 10-15 minutes to make an online order you already get in before I get to the location. I’m not going here again.

Why have 2 lanes and only use 1 lane? Most people are on their lunch break and have to spend 15 minutes in a very disorganized line! Then the speaker is awful- the cashier ask your name 3 times.
Once I received my grilled chicken sandwich- it was drenched in sauce- like no one cared to make it presentable. I ended up throwing it away and not having lunch as I was driving back to work. Very disappointed and will not return.

Despite living in Texas at one point, I’d never experienced eating food at a Whataburger. Since one opened in town about a month ago, I decided to try them out. I placed an order within the app and it said the food should be ready between 7:30-7:35 PM. We were greeted by someone who thought we were placing an order at the counter, and after we told him we ordered via app for pickup, he left. The employees in the back seemed to be a bit behind, because people outside and inside were waiting for their items for a while. A couple who arrived after us received their meal before us, and they ordered at the kiosks in store. When it was 7:35, I approached the counter and gave a different employee my name. He told me it would take another 7 minutes before my order was finished. After waiting 7 minutes, a different employee told me my order was behind because they needed fries. She told me it would be 5 minutes. By the time we got our order, it was 7:59. My spouse and I decided to sit. The fries were fresh, but our burgers were not fresh due to the amount of time it took for them to complete the order. My bread for the patty melt was soft and chewy. The location seems to be well staffed, but it did seem as if the employees were in their own little world, as some would go out in the seating area and chit chat with another coworker who clocked out.

For the first time since this location opened I am disappointed in the service. I did my order at least 20 minutes before I arrived and was told my order will be ready between 641 and 654. When I pulled in I checked in and my number two slot and I sat there for five minutes and I pulled up at 6:51. I sat there for five minutes before I decided to go inside to pick up my food and when I go inside all of the workers are standing around talking and when they see me one person Just got to yells curbside and they start to scatter. I’m left standing at the cashier without any acknowledgment. then I hear them go out the side door still no acknowledgment not until I receive a text from others in my car that our food had arrived. The quality of my food was awful. The meat was salty and the fries were salty. I am very disappointed in my service today.
