Being out of items happens — that alone is not the issue. The issue was how everything was handled after that. I was told I would be refunded, then told that the refund had already been processed. That turned out to be false. When the manager came to the window, she admitted that the refund had not been done yet and said she was about to process it. Despite the refund not being completed and no proof being provided, I was repeatedly asked to pull up and leave the drive-thru. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility for the mistake, staff seemed far more concerned with the cars behind me than making sure my money was actually refunded. I should not have been asked to move when the issue had not been resolved and the order was still showing as completed. I only received confirmation of the refund because I stayed in the drive-thru until it was actually processed. If I had left when asked, I would have left without any confirmation that my money was returned. This situation could have been avoided if the item had been marked unavailable online or if staff had been honest and accountable from the start instead of prioritizing line speed over fixing their own error. Running out of product is understandable. Accepting payment for unavailable items, giving incorrect information about refunds, and pressuring customers to leave before their money is returned is not
