Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported long wait times for food, both in-store and drive-thru, often exceeding 20 minutes.

Poor Management and Toxic Work Culture
I am writing to share my experience regarding the management (Emmanuel ) and work culture at this establishment. My husband, who was one of the strongest managers on his team, was let go due to what appears to be jealousy rather than performance. His knowledge and expertise were punished rather than valued, which is incredibly disheartening. He never received a write up or anything about concerning performance related issues. He also has not received a separation notice. Which furthermore proves how unprofessional and irresponsible the Operational Partner is.
As someone who works in a managerial role in education, I can recognize when poor leadership negatively impacts staff morale and retention. This individual has lost multiple managers, shift leaders, and team members due to his management style. It seems that he prioritizes controlling others over fostering a competent and collaborative team.
This review is not about the food or the product itself, it is about the evident toxic work culture. Leadership should empower employees, not undermine or intimidate them. Allowing this behavior to persist reflects poorly on the organization as a whole.
It is deeply disappointing to see capable and hardworking staff dismissed or devalued due to insecurity or favoritism. A healthy work environment should encourage growth, respect, and collaboration. Clearly values that appear to be lacking here.

Upon arrival I was greeted with a warm and inviting smile from Ms. Kim. She really made the place feel like home. I would return just for that experience again!

My man Jason came in bigly, he fulfilled every craving I had and more. His his and his attitude made my visit worth the money alone, the food was just a bonus! His coworkers Brando & Rachel were exceptional as well, I appreciate their support to Jason’s greatness. Never had a problem here, food always hits and service is always great. 5/5 stars, genuinely wonderful location

Introduced to me in College Station, TX in 2015, but we didn’t have them in Georgia…fast forward to 2025 and now we do. Decided to visit one for lunch. Ordered an Original with everything, a soda and onion rings. Prepared quickly and everything was hot. Staff kind. Better than the 3 chains., it was slightly salty. Place was super clean, including bathrooms.
I will go back.

I order today November 1st, 2025. I ordered a Honey butter chicken biscuit (alone) and a pancake platter with sausage (meal). Someone tell me how I never got honey butter on my honey butter chicken biscuit. I also never got my drink. It was just a simple chocolate milk. Other than that, the food that I actually received was good.
