For starters, our server (short with braids) didn’t seem to know that Georgia does support digital driver’s licenses, and insisted our state “doesn’t do them,” which is completely false. The attitude that came with it set the tone for the whole visit.
Any questions we asked, whether about glass sizes, mimosa towers, etc… were met with more attitude. And what makes it even worse? Your menu clearly lists unlimited mimosas for $25, yet we were told they “don’t offer that.” If it’s not available, black it out or remove it. Right now it’s just false advertising.
Then comes the payment issue. Nowhere did anyone mention that tap-to-pay isn’t accepted anymore. The reasoning was “disputes,” which makes no sense, anyone can dispute a card payment, tap or not. Just verify ID and get a signature like every other place.
To top it off, we were almost charged for a drink we didn’t even touch and couldn’t have paid for anyway because you failed to mention tap isn’t allowed.
Overall: 0/100. First time and absolutely the last.

Service was top notch, hostess and waiter were professional. Nice downtown location but I feel like everything painted white kind of covered the antique charm. I was disappointed in the waffle dishes. The menu stresses no substitute or changes to the dishes because of chef’s prerogative. I actually agree with the concept. However, the food did not deliver. The waffles tasted identical to Belgian liege waffles that come from Costco or a Marriott free breakfast. Seemed like it was right out of the plastic wrap. The round sausage patties were just standard Sysco or other generic supplier sausage. The scrambled eggs were fine, had a mild seasoning different from just salt like most places that was pleasant. I live in the area so maybe I’ll try something else next time. Either way, I think to be adamant enough to deny adjusting dishes I expect higher quality.

The food here is soooo good! We got the 305 dirty grits and the honey bourbon lamb which were both phenomenal! The portions are big too! Our server Bri was very kind and accommodating! The frozen mimosa flight was good and came with a mini charcuterie which was a nice touch. The Chardonnay Bloody Mary was very good (and I’m not even a big Bloody Mary fan). This place is definitely a must if you’re in Augusta and looking for a good brunch spot!
Some suggestions for the restaurant and these do not take way from quality because everything was very good, but I would like to suggest the grits be served in a smaller bowl or shorter vessel às it was a little difficult to eat from high up.

This place has the best wings ever! The spicy Georgia peach wings are divine. I also loved my grits! My husband got the waffle delight meal and it was delicious. They infused the syrup with blueberries and strawberries. Definitely get 1 sweet and 1 savory meal. And their pound cake is amazing.

If I could give Toaste in Augusta zero stars, I would.
We were really looking forward to eating here. The outside appeal from the street when we walked by caught us and drew us in.
From the moment we sat down the experience was bad. The tables were dirty and just covered with paper tablecloths, which made the place feel unsanitary and low-effort before we even ordered. Honestly, it was our mistake not to get up and leave right then.
The service was dismissive and rude, and the staff’s tone toward our table was clearly different from how they treated others — enough that we walked out feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. Whether intentional or not, it absolutely felt like we were being treated differently because of who we were.
Our order was taken carelessly, parts of it were forgotten, and the food that did show up was bland, unappealing, and poorly prepared. Then it got worse: we found a hair embedded in the food. We quit eating, and just politely asked for the check.
Between the hygiene issues, the sloppy food, the mistakes, the attitude, and the way we were made to feel, this was a miserable experience from start to finish. We will never be back, and I would strongly advise anyone considering this place to choose somewhere — anywhere — else.
