⭐️ 1-Star Review – Unacceptable Catering Experience
I used Outback Steakhouse for an important office meeting and had an extremely disappointing experience. I placed my catering order 48 hours in advance for 50+ people, and the restaurant confirmed they could accommodate it and deliver by 11:45 AM. They even reconfirmed the order 24 hours before, so I fully expected everything to go smoothly.
At 11:45 AM, when the order still hadn’t arrived, I called and was told the driver was “10 minutes away.” After 10 minutes passed and nothing arrived, I called back—only to be told that the restaurant was still preparing the order. This was at 12:30 PM. They then informed me it would be another 30 minutes late.
The order ultimately did not arrive until 1:30 PM, nearly two hours late, and it caused me to miss a very important meeting. If the restaurant knew they could not accommodate my order, I should have received a call before the delivery time—not misleading updates and no communication.
To make matters worse, the restaurant offered no compensation, no apology, and no accountability for the disruption they caused. Also they did not provide any plates, or cups.
I would not recommend Outback for catering or professional service of any kind. This experience was stressful, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.

I had a reservation at 4:30 PM, but the host asked us to wait a few minutes. After waiting for 30 minutes, we checked again with the person managing inside, and were told it would actually be another hour. I think the staff should be more transparent with customers about wait times, especially when people are already on the waitlist. On a busy holiday, it’s also important to be better prepared and manage expectations accordingly.

We ate here tonight and had a very long wait. Finally after an hour wait, the hostess said he had a table ready but to give him a minute to wipe it down. He then came to get us, but instead of taking us to our table, he wanted to stand at the front area chit chatting about his grandmother??? I said, "excuse me but we want to be seated now". We also had very bad service. Our server was terrible. Not sure of her name because she did not provide a receipt (I'm sure she knew I was going to blast a bad review on her). She took forever coming to our table. She was a very tall heavy set black woman with bushy hair. We both had burgers ordered well done. Mine came out ok, but my husbands was still pink, but he didn't want to wait another hour to get another cooked. His also had a hefty splatter of "horse radish" on his burger?" The side of a baked potato was cold and so hard you couldn't even get it soft enough to mix well with the sour cream and butter. We asked our server to bring us another piece of tomato and mayo, and she never came back with it. Another server stopped by and said she would bring it, saying, "she probably just forgot". Low and behold this person never brought it either!! I got up from our table to ask another server (3rd one) and we finally got it but by then our burgers were cold. The soup was good though. No one ever brought us more beverage. We had to ask another server to please fill our drinks. And to top off all of this, as we were getting into our truck, I noticed the "pick up order sight" was right behind our truck. There were two cars waiting to pick up, so we could not back up to get out. I had to get our of our truck and go and ask the driver that was on her cell, to please back up just enough so we could get out. She did, but what restaurant owner/manager sets up the pick up area butted up next to a parking spot??????????? We will not go back here.

We called ahead at 4:30 for 6pm. We got there for 5:50 and were told another 15-20min. At 6:20 we were told another 45min. When I asked the lady said that calling ahead does nothing until you check in and she had 0 explanation for why that wasn't mentioned when I first called or why my estimated wait went from 15-20min to another 45min AFTER waiting 25min. We ended up leaving and will not be going back.

So I’ve been coming here for the last 3 years. Just let me say, the entire staff have been warm, professional, engaging, and always greet me with a warm welcome and send me off with a fond farewell. My peeps: Sami (the manager), Casey (bar), CeCe (Bar), Kayla (bar), Liz (bar). They all know I come here to get work done at the bar (every 3rd day), and I get a lot of work done. But they always make sure my plate is full, my glass is topped, and I’ve got everything I need. Get thee to Outback on Washington Road. I only eat at the bar (just my preference). YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. (And BTW, there’s plenty of TV’s to watch your fave CFB or NFL team…just sayin’…)
