Displayed open on website, Google and on Happycow only to arrive and be closed. This business model is a disservice to the public customer. Folks trying to support your establishment. It,s 2:51p on Tuesday when NSV should be open. No consideration whatsoever. Glad I picked up a vegan pizza earlier today.

This establishment has no consideration for their customers. This has happened to me often with this business. Online they say they are open and then you drive way across town to find they are closed and if you try to call, their voicemail will not even say they are closed. I went there Saturday around 2 and a sign was on the door " we are closed today". This is an unprofessional, poor way to run a business. If you say you care about your customers, then you would be considerate of their time and gas money. You would communicate to them consistent hours of operation and be open during those times to accommodate your customers. I will not be wasting my time any more.

I brought my family here for a Christmas dinner of sorts. Because I live in NW ATL, I'm not in the area often. The last time I'd visited was about 15 years ago. I enjoyed it then. But in looking online, I noticed a lot of negative reviews over the past 10 years. But I was interested to see what the February 2025 revamp under new management produced. Unfortunately, I was not that impressed. Starting with entry - the girl serving had an attitude. The two guys I encountered were more like what I'd expect, friendly, welcoming, etc One guy was going to fix my 3-person order. I wish I'd simply gotten more bbq kabone instead of ordering the oyster mushrooms (more on that later), then he would have stayed and fixed my order instead of going in the back to prepare some more. Because of that, the young woman prepared my order. She fixed my food like she was mad or annoyed. She treated certain patrons better than others (I was one of the "others"). Serving tray replenishment was slow. Unless the dish has run out all together - as in none in the back either, the trays should stay replenished (hense the reason I was waiting for the mushroom wings and two other people were asking for fresh dressing rather than except the dried out heavily served from pan that was there). But then again, this was Christmas with only a 4 hour serving window (12-4). I could see not wanting to over prep. So this is merely an observation. The actual food was a mixed bag for me. Some of the menu options like the bbq kabone, mac n cheese and candied yams were very good. However, the kabone roast was not very well seasoned and the greens were meh. I tried the oyster mushroom wings on recommendation, Those are a hard pass too. It was was more like overcooked/over-fried, over-salted batter with barely any mushroom inside. Disappointing. I did not try the dressing as it looked dried out and did not try the cornbread (though it looked very good). NOTE: Not a positive or negative - but you pay be weight. So keep that in mind. The 4.2/5 google rating is probably fairly accurate. My personal rating is about a 3. I would not go out of my way to visit again. Maybe if I'm already nearby and hungry. But then there's the raw vegan restaurant up the street, about a mile or so west of this place. They are delicious.
