The food was good, but the portion was too small for my liking. I went out wit my boo and we kinda shared the same sentiment. She liked the food but her portion size was smaller than mines. Of course she had to try mines 😒 lol. Fellas I don't know why they always do it lol. Nice place for a date but bring your wallet lol. I would try there lunch special I believe they have. Personally I like quantity and quality as it pertains to food. But if I'm spending money I have to get my money's worth. I'm not sure if I did but the food was good its funny like that sometimes lol. Love is love 🫶🏾

Serena Pastificio is a very beautiful restaurant and a perfect spot for a date night. The ambience is warm, elegant, and inviting. While the vegetarian options are limited, whatever is available is absolutely amazing, superb quality and full of flavor. That said, if you prefer a wider variety or are picky about vegetarian Italian dishes, this place might not be for you. Overall, a lovely experience for the food they do offer and the atmosphere they create.

We came to Serena for dinner before the symphony because the menu looked exciting and it was walking distance. Let's dive into the good, the bad, and the ugly:
The good: The interior is lovely and large. The decor was pleasant and the noise level was moderate. We were seated in a section of 2 tops and were a bit too close to the tables around us. Also, the staff was friendly and kind.
The bad: The service was lack-luster at best. The table was not cleared of unnecessary glassware, it was not crumbed or wiped (was sticky), the silverware was not reset, and we had to ask for share plates after our dishes arrived. Our server was nice, but seemed under-supported or overwhelmed.
The ugly: I hate to say this, but the food was not good. The bread service was stale, the quail was too salty to have more than a couple bites, and we had to send back the gnocchi because not only did it look horrific (like poop!) but also just didn't taste good at all. The seafood pasta was decent, but had a very strong garlic flavor (which I didn't mind, but wouldn't return for). The tiramisu was nothing to rave home about.
Overall, it felt like the menu was an afterthought and that all the budget went into the location and decor. Maybe it was an off night? Maybe the menu was made by chatgpt? I hate to be so harsh, but as an Italian restaurant you open yourself up to plenty of competition around the city, and Serena unfortunately just doesn't make the cut.

Dined at this restaurant 2 times - both were very disappointing. We arrived and were sat 1h 45min before we had to leave for a play. This was clearly communicated to the staff (and was something they advertised that they are happy to accommodate). We waited over 30 minutes for drinks after ordering and 2 had to be sent back as well as they were not made correctly. The main course was delivered with less than 10 minutes before we had to leave. The wait staff is nice, but the experience overall was incredibly disappointing. We will not be back.

I made reservations with a friend to eat here on a Friday night. We arrived 10mins late due to traffic and checked in with the hostess who asked us to wait for our table. After waiting for 10-15 mins, I went up to ask what the ETA was for our table because we were headed to a show after dinner and wanted to be sure we would be able to dine beforehand. The hostess was very defensive and said they were waiting for tables to be available. I asked what was the point of reserving if this didn't guarantee a table. A manager or someone more senior on the wait staff came up to us and said firstly you were late and if you can't wait feel free to dine with us some other time. She raised her voice so much my friend had to tell her there was no need to yell at us.There's no policy on their website that states you lose your reservation within a 10mins window, most restaurants allow a 20mins grace period. The manager was rude and essentially made it clear they did not care for our business. I had heard good things about the food here and the atmosphere looked good inside but the rude and unwelcoming staff was really off putting. We left and dined somewhere nearby where we were treated better. I will not be returning here.
