Great service! Food comes out fast. Pet friendly outdoor patio without umbrellas, though. We had a fish sandwich ( excellent & crispy) with tomato soup (not seasoned, tasteless-needed something), mac and cheese balls (scrumptious), fried green tomatoes (too thin, no seasoning and a bit greasy and the shrimp and grits (great rendition). Makes me wonder if the Chef is at the service line expediting the food before it goes out. I'm not feeling like I would raise my hand to go back. Honesty is the best policy. I do know the impact a review can have. When I use the words tasteless or greasy, I don't say them without deep
honest consideration.

I visited Folk Art on a Saturday, and my experience was disappointing. When I arrived, a staff member walked up and simply asked, “Last name?” with no greeting. I asked if I needed a reservation, and after a pause, he said no. They were hosting a bingo event, and the rest of the restaurant was reserved for the party, while the table they offered me was essentially overflowing with other diners. Feeling awkward, I decided to sit at the bar instead.
The bar itself was average—nothing special. I tried the Fowl Play. The chicken, which was completely unseasoned, and the mac and cheese ball was also lacking flavor. The only standout was the mimosa, which was good.
Overall, poor service, chaotic seating, and bland food made this a disappointing visit.
We had a wonderful dining experience at FolkArt in Hapeville, Georgia! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and our waiter was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.
Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. The fried pickles were a highlight—only $8 for a huge portion and perfectly crispy. I also tried the Margarita Jam (peach flavored), which was amazing. It had a thick pulp layer at the bottom that added great texture and flavor to the drink.
Overall, everything from the service to the food and drinks was spot-on. I’d highly recommend FolkArt to anyone in the area looking for a great meal and a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
I ordered the sweet potato pancakes with veggie sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheese grits. The staff was wonderful, friendly and attentive, and my food came out quickly, which I really appreciated. Everything looked and tasted great overall! I wasn’t the biggest fan of the grits, as they had corn mixed in, and I personally prefer mine smooth and creamy. That’s just a matter of taste, though, everything else was delicious!

I had a horrible 1st experience with the server Edward. My friend and I went to get Mimosas and were super excited to catch a vibe. It seems as if he was upset we weren’t ordering food on the initial greeting. Anyway, after receiving my drink I only had a sip before I accidentally knocked it over. There were no napkins so I asked if Edward could help us with the spill. I then kindly asked if he could refill my mimosa. He looked at me and said “I didn’t spill it so no, I’d have to charge you for another one.” He didn’t express any care, concern or demonstrate any type of service recovery. I would not recommend this place based off the lack of adequate customer service
