DISGUSTING, UNSANITARY, AND COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE
When I think of Dunkin’ Donuts, I think of great coffee, great customer service, and great breakfast wraps. No matter what city I’m in, I usually go out of my way to find a Dunkin’ in the morning because it’s normally reliable.
This location disgusted me.
I came in and ordered my usual: a hazelnut latte (double hazelnut) and two breakfast wraps. A gentleman came in behind me and ordered after I did.
When the server brought the food out… they gave MY food to the man who ordered after me.
Here’s the worst part: the man didn’t just touch the bag. He took it back to his table and opened it up. That table is out of my line of sight, so I’m not watching him or monitoring what he’s doing — because I have absolutely NO reason to assume someone else is eating or handling my food.
A few minutes later, the server brings out the second set of food (what they thought was mine), and it wasn’t. When I said, “What is this?” and informed them that it wasn’t my order, the server looked at me like I was the one confused, like I didn’t even know what I ordered.
Then the gentleman finally realized he had the wrong food and brought it back up to the counter and handed it to the server…
…and the server TURNED AROUND AND TRIED TO HAND IT TO ME.
Let me be crystal clear:
That is one of the nastiest, most unsanitary, and irresponsible things I have EVER seen in food service.
I do NOT know what that man did with my food.
I do NOT know if he washed his hands.
I do NOT know if he touched my wraps, breathed on them, sneezed, coughed — ANYTHING.
And the fact that an employee would even consider serving food that was already at another customer’s table tells me everything I need to know about their “food safety standards.”
It makes me wonder:
If food falls on the ground, do they just pick it up and hand it out too?
Because trying to serve me food that another customer had at their table is beyond unacceptable — it is a serious health and safety issue.
What makes it even worse is that I literally had to beg the server and another employee to remake my food. And even then, because everything was happening behind the wall, I wasn’t even confident it was truly remade fresh. I was so disgusted that I threw it away and didn’t even eat it.
This location ruined my morning and completely destroyed my trust in this store.
You could not pay me to come back to this Dunkin’. Ever.
