I had such a great experience at CAVA today for lunch, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Que, Jay, Yaya, and Ken!
From the moment I walked in, the energy was welcoming and upbeat. Everyone was professional, attentive, and genuinely kind!

So I finally made my first visit to CAVA — and let me just say… where have I been?!
At first glance, I’ll admit I was a little overwhelmed. Some of the pre-designed bowls had ingredients I didn’t recognize, so instead of playing guessing games, I decided to build my own masterpiece. Best decision ever!
The line server was incredibly patient and helpful while I asked questions and sampled a few things (because we don’t commit without tasting first, okay?!). With their guidance, I landed on the perfect combo: brown rice, lentils, half grilled chicken and half harissa honey chicken, sweet corn, pickled onions, feta, cucumbers, and fiery broccoli.
Now let’s talk about that harissa honey chicken — whew! It definitely brought the heat 🔥 — but the cool crunch of the cucumbers and pickled onions balanced everything out beautifully. Every bite was a party: hot and cold, crunchy and tender, spicy and savory. The layers of flavor were chef’s kiss!
It was fresh, filling, and packed with bold Mediterranean goodness. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch.
And the service? Excellent from start to finish.
If you haven’t checked out CAVA yet, consider this your sign. I’ll definitely be back! Sorry I forgot to take a picture BEFORE I dug in!
First of all, I do love cava. What I don’t love is walking in on a Saturday to some BS. My boyfriend and I walked up to the counter to start our order in two employees. We’re standing there talking and messing with some pieces of lettuce. It took a couple minutes to acknowledge that we were standing there and start our order. I am patient so I was willing to let that go. A different employee took over once it was time to start adding toppings and evidently the 10 seconds it took me to look at the available. Toppings was too long for him and he told me “you can actually order faster”. Super rude. It took me a couple extra seconds because you guys were out of two toppings that I normally order so I was trying to see what else was available. And then after basically telling me that I was going too slow for him he then took two minutes to start having commentary with his coworkers about a homeless person who had just walked back into the building. So it took you more time to play with lettuce and talk to your coworkers, and then make commentary about the homeless person who walked in then it took me to glance across the row of toppings. Then even more laughable part is once I got to the register, and the young lady who checked us out, was actually very polite and nice, the same employee who just told me that I wasn’t moving fast enough for him, exited the building out of the front to go talk to some guy that he knew . Evidently, again the maybe no more than 10 seconds, that it took to adjust my order for your lack of toppings before 12 PM was getting in the way of you getting to chitchat with a friend outside.

Francis who I believe is the shift leader on this Saturday night has absolutely no customer service. After asking him for the salad which includes kale, he took his tongs and points to a small sign and said the list is right here so which one do you want. I informed him I was vision impaired and ask again for the salad with kale. His frustration grew quickly and I politely asked if anyone else could make my food as he made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I was the only one in the store. There were no bags and no harissa chicken.
I would like to say thank you Nate for coming over and assisting me with top tier service and a smile. You are helpful and patient. You well represent the Cava brand.

This is probably the worst Cava I’ve ever been to. And I’ve been to quite a few of them around Atlanta. I’m not sure if they are short staffed or what. But this is the second time coming here and they have 1 or 2 people working the line when the line is wrapped around the building. There’s always plenty of staff in the kitchen behind them. But for whatever reason they choose to put 2 people on the line. It will take at least 30-45 min to get your food. You might as well use that time and drive to the next closest Cava. I will never be back. They need to hire more people and they need to focus on having people on the serving line. Rather than having 90% of their staff in the kitchen. It would also be helpful if they even had a dedicated cashier so the other 2 people can solely focus on making the bowls. And on top of that, they’re always out of stuff. Meat, sauces, dips, you name it. Just completely horrible service. The slowest service I’ve ever encountered.
