  The Athens location is extremely slow and unclean. The person at the beginning of the order line was on her phone with her gloves on and then immediately goes to handle food. She doesn't acknowledge the customer she literally just looks in your direction expecting you to tell her what you want. She kept piling up orders even when people later on the food line aren't even there to move the order along. I stand there waiting when there is nobody at the vegetable station for several minutes. The line is about 15-20 people long, and still there is no level of urgency. Person working the register would check one person out and then go and move bins around for several minutes and come back and ring up one or two more people. The pin pad was filthy; it had food caked on it. I saw the POS was the same. The cashier put new gloves on and began to touch the screen and then immediately touched my pita wrap. I should have made them remake my order but I didn't even want to wait long. That is disgusting. The restaurant is disgusting, and they should be ashamed. It's an open secret that this Cava is disgusting, doesn't throw food out until it's visibly spoiled, they don't practice food safety, and that the manager commits labor law violations. I'm surprised they have good health inspection ratings.

  I’m really disappointed with my experience here tonight. I placed a pickup order that was supposed to be ready at 9:15 PM. I waited in the pickup line for at least 10 minutes behind someone who received their food with no issue. When I finally pulled up, the employee told me I “wasn’t allowed” to be in the pickup line because my order “wasn’t ready,” even though it was already past the pickup time (it was 9:18) and someone else was just served right before me. I ordered pickup so I wouldn’t have to walk inside. If I wanted to walk in, I would’ve selected that option. Instead, the employee refused to give me the food I already paid over $17 for. I ended up leaving with nothing and feeling completely disrespected. This was unacceptable customer service, and I hope the store addresses this so other customers aren’t treated the same way.

  It was our first time coming to Cava. I only came because of a tiktok video & it wanted me to try it. We came in, it was packed. One of the employees, I never got her name but she was the sweetest person ever. They all seemed overstimulated, as if they were short staffed. She made an announcement saying the dining room was closed but she allowed us to order online & pick up inside when it was ready. She was very friendly, she was nice & I will definitely be coming back again. The food was great. Wayyyyyy better than chipotle hands down.

  I ordered a bowl for a 6:30pm pickup this evening, arrived at drive thru at 6:28pm and my order was given at around 8:25pm!!!! It took them almost 2 hours for a single bowl order. This location apparently accepted tons of online orders that you have to wait 2 HOURS to get your order. This is very inconvenient and inconsiderate for those who have been patiently waiting in line for their mobile orders. I understand that they were busy with other orders, especially for those indoors, but the part that made it unacceptable was that once we reached the door it was as if there were no cars in the mobile orders line and they were preparing the food for solely those inside even if those that ordered through mobile ordered at earlier time slots. Also, we didn’t receive the free pita that came with the bowl. It was an awful experience overall!

  This is the worst cava I have ever done business with. Me and my roommate placed an order at 6:10 PM and did not receive our food until 8:05. 3 different uber eats drivers cancelled because the incompetent cava workers could not slap together a kids pita with zero toppings on it in close to two hours. Then, when my food finally arrives, it has an unknown sauce all over the food. My order was a simple kids pita with steak and nothing else which seems pretty difficult to mess up. Not to mention, my roomate’s order came with the wrong protein, missing her side of free pita, and also without dressing. Everything about this cava is awful and the customer service is terrible. They cannot even pick up the phone if we call. In light of all this we received only $7 back on our order. So much for dinner tonight. I am disgusted. This needs to be rectified immediately.
