  I had a really disappointing experience here and won’t be coming back. It took almost 30 minutes for anyone to even come to our table and ask what we wanted to eat. We actually had to flag down a waiter just to place our order, which is unacceptable—especially since the restaurant was practically empty. After ordering, we waited about an hour for our food. During that time, the staff kept coming back apologizing, saying there was a new cook in the kitchen, but nothing was being done to actually fix the situation. Apologies only go so far when you’re sitting there hungry with no updates. When the food finally came out, it wasn’t even worth the wait. It didn’t meet expectations at all. We tried to calmly ask about possible accommodations or what could be done, and instead of resolving the issue professionally, the situation escalated to the point where the police were called—which was completely unnecessary and very unprofessional. Overall, the service, food, and handling of the situation were extremely poor. Definitely not a place I’d recommend.

  The restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated. We were seated within a few minutes, water glasses were filled and orders taken. Then, all the negative reviews were confirmed. We waited 35-40 minutes for our food. There was one table seated and a few people at the bar. So they were not busy. Our server seemed to have disappeared. The food was mediocre. My pernil was very fatty, had 3 or 4 onion slices on top and no wasakaka was on the plate. My husband's dish lacked seasoning and tasted like simple roast beef. You get lots of white rice and a few beans in a bowl. Another server cleared the table so we asked her for the check. Also, she asked if we wanted a box for the food left on the plate which is a sure sign it was not good. Definitely not worth the price or the aggravating service.

  What a fantastic experience! Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere! It's one of the best places to eat in downtown Americus, GA! We drove 2.5 hours to experience this great restaurant. Please go check it out! You won't regret it.

  We went to The Spot for the first time tonight and the food was absolutely delicious. The appetizers, bread and salad all came out quickly, and while our dinner plates took a little time, it is because everything is made homemade and prepared to order. It was all authentic and delicious! The waiters were prompt and kept our drinks filled and were very accommodating. They even stayed open late on Sunday as they close at 5:00, but when I called to make reservations, they said they would stay open late for us, so we could come after a play we saw at The Rylander! It was a first, but it won’t be our last!
