Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers consistently reported extremely slow service, with many waiting over 20-30 minutes for their orders.
Food Quality
Several reviews mentioned cold or stale food, with complaints about incorrect orders and unsatisfactory preparation.
Staff Behavior
While some customers praised individual staff members for their friendliness, many others reported rude or unprofessional behavior from employees.
Cleanliness
The restaurant's cleanliness was frequently criticized, with reports of dirty restrooms and unkempt dining areas.
Customer Experience
Overall, many customers expressed disappointment with their experiences, citing a lack of management and poor service as major issues.

Great food and a lively atmosphere. This looks like a newer location. The cashier was friendly and helpful. I got the number 5 combo with fries.

Good morning I am currently at 1070 McFarland PKWY and I pulled up to place an order at the drive thru. I requested a number 11 large no salt on fries and a shake. I was told the shake machine was down due to them cleaning it because they closed at 2pm. However I pulled up between 1:25am-1:30am. I then requested sweet tea large with light ice. I pull forward and the manager or shift leader she said the tea has expired and no tea is available also. Not I do not drink carbonated drinks. Y’all ain’t coming up here to assist me. The entire team walked away from the window. The Hispanic lady was the manager on duty that refused to provide her name.

Tried 4 different drink options before I got one that wasn’t out of syrup. Patty melt came out tasting weird enough that I stopped eating it after 3 bites. Like old or bad oil but it’s a cheeseburger? really gross, old tasting and like they didn’t season the meat. Third time here and each has been worst than the last. Won’t be back.

Service at this location is abysmal. This is my third time at this location and there is never anyone at the front counter, so you have to poke you head into the kitchen to get someone. This time I was picking up an online order and that took three people to receive. Getting my drink was another exercise in frustration. If you want whataburger take 400 north two exits and go to that one in Cumming. Never had these issues there.

I heard about this chain and went to check out this location very close to where I live. The manager who was taking orders inside was very attentive, and she informed me that they grill the food to order. The experience and the wait were worth it. The food was fresh and delicious. Especially the fresh fried apple pie. I will definitely be back.👍😄
