Monday, my friend and I walked into an empty restaurant and waited about 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Eventually, we had to ask the bartender to let someone know we were there. A server finally came over, took our drink and appetizer order, and then left. The appetizer came out in a reasonable amount of time, and we finished it fairly quickly.
After that, our server did not return for roughly 30 minutes. Once again, we had to speak to the bartender to get any attention. When the server finally came back, he took our food order. We then waited nearly an hour for our meals. During this time, the restaurant remained empty, and we could clearly see the kitchen staff eating, cleaning, and scrolling on their phones.
After about 90 minutes total, the bartender came over and apologized repeatedly. My food arrived about 10 minutes later, but my friend was then informed that the kitchen did not have any chicken thawed. He had to reorder, and his replacement meal came out about 10 minutes after mine.
Despite all of this, we were still charged full price for our meals.

While the facility itself is great, the service and booking logistics—especially during the busy Christmas weekend—were incredibly frustrating. My experience highlighted some major flaws in how this location handles waitlists and payments.
The Experience:
• The Runaround: After being told there was a 2-hour wait on our first visit, we tried to book online for the following day. However, the system does not allow you to book online if you wish to use a gift card.
• The Waitlist Discrepancy: I arrived early the next day to put our name down in person. I was told the wait was 2 hours; I agreed and paid upfront.
• The Breaking Point: When our group returned 2 hours later, we were told it would be another 90 minutes. It was only after we pushed back and explained we had already waited the initial 2 hours that they "suddenly" found lanes for us.
Suggestions for Improvement:
1. Flexible Online Booking: The system should allow customers to "hold" a lane with a credit card online and settle the final payment in-store using gift cards or other methods. Forcing gift card holders to walk in manually creates unnecessary friction.
2. Accurate Wait-Time Communication: If a customer pays for a lane and is given a time, that should be a firm commitment. Telling a group to wait a total of nearly 4 hours is unacceptable.
3. Transparency: It felt as though lanes were available, but the staff was not managing the queue effectively until we intervened.
Final Thought: Great venue, but the management of the waitlist and the rigid booking system made what should have been a fun holiday outing a logistical headache.
UPDATE: I changed my review to one-star because responding to negative experiences with a copy-paste chatGPT link to a generic page to “contact us” is pure laziness. I guess this location and their management are complacent with mediocrity (at best).
I will preface this review by saying that I work in hospitality. I try not to be too picky and uppity, but sometimes I really just need to let the inside thoughts outside.
I appreciate the hospitality, but being hounded by Jocelyn was very infuriating. I come to Main Event to express my free will since, you know, i’m a grown woman. I understand making money and helping people out, but this was ridiculous. She did it to nobody else coming in BUT my group. Additionally, she had no real answers to our questions. How are you gonna hound us to try and upsell experiences and then not know what you’re talking about?
We tried to be patient and nice, but it eventually evolved in us trying to show on our faces without sounding too bad that we would like to be left alone. Love you mean it, i’m sure she is a lovely person outside of work, but it was annoying. If she is reading this, you are harming your servers rather than helping them. I don’t want to feel pressured into doing/paying for something I don’t want to.
Andrew was a lovely server and did a phenomenal job taking care of us. There was a bartender who also did a fantastic job, I wish I had gotten his name. Drinks were spot on.
As for the experience, many of the games were broken or missing pieces, deeming them unplayable. Staff definitely is aware that this is an ongoing issue and refunded credits that we didn’t get to use. While we enjoyed the few games that did work, I think our experience would’ve been better if everything did.
Bowling was pretty fun, but the system that cleared up pins was messed up. I guess good for my friends who somehow got a spare from the system messing up.
All in all, i’d give this experience a 2-star. For this location specifically, I probably won’t return without a coupon or someone else paying for it.

I usually have a good time going to Main Event and we enjoyed their $40 for $20 game card special as well as the Kids Eat Free on Tuesdays this time. However, this location really missed the mark all around. The bowling and games in particular are not well-maintained.
- Food: We ordered the cheese stuffed crust pizza but they later told us the kitchen had run out (even though it was 6:30pm at the beginning of the week). The seasonal fruit that came with the kids meal was a very meager portion of 2 tiny watermelon pieces.
- Bowling: They initially gave us Lane 5 but the right bumper was stuck in the up position. The worst part was that they admitted they knew that it was broken. On top of that, just a short while later, they gave the same lane to a new group!! I couldn't believe it. They reassigned us to Lane 6, which also had a broken bumper (half of the left bumper was gone).
- Games: many of the games were broken and we wasted game points on them. The VR headset kept getting loose when we tried to put it in the tightest position. The basketball game to the very right didn't register points. The soccer game was not working at all. The bouncing tile game was missing tiles. One of the large basketball games got the balls stuck in the net.
Overall, I would not recommend this location and would try to avoid it if I could.
This is not going to be a great review.
First off this place is a wanna be Dave and Busters and they do not measure up.
Granted this place was hoping with birthday parties but I don't understand why except to get the kids out of their house.
The members at the front desk were very nice, pleasant to talk with, and had people skills. Not much can be said for the others there.
There was a total of 5 of us. Two adults, one teenager, and two 10 year olds.
The kids played lazer tag and said it was very boring and their time was too short.
We had lunch at the restaurant there. The service was horrible. The lady behind the counter only acknowledged us by looking at us. No how can I help or get for you, no smile and acted like she didn't even want to be there and eveyone was a burden to her. When our drinks were ready she just left them on the counter without letting us know. We had to pay attention and if we didn't our drinks would have just sat there. When we ordered our food it was the same result but someone actually delivered our meals. The food was not terrible, but none of us finished our meal.
The gaming area is small and many of the games we tried to play took our money but never worked. Basketballs would not be released, skeet ball never came down, clown balls would get stuck, one video game was set on advanced play that you couldn't win or advance. The air hockey tables either had no puck or the air wouldn't flow. Becoming frustrated with the games we decided to try bowling.
We paid for an hour for 5 people. The lanes were saturated with oil. We were constantly wiping our hands, oil got on our clothes, and the ball would go everywhere but where you threw it. It was fun but it wasn't. We had to laugh at how bad it truly was. The resetting of the pins and ball return was so slow that we barely got 10 frames in for each person. Who ever the food and drinks service person was did NOT do his job at all! He came to our lane asking what he could get for us. We asked for water and sodas. He said sure, be right back and we never saw him. We ended up looking for him and asked for our drinks. He told us he forgot and would be back with us in a moment. We NEVER saw him again. We ended up getting cups from the restaurant and getting water from the fountain. We had enough of everything and the poor customer service we decided to leave.
Now they may have been overwhelmed with birthday parties but there is no excuse to not have enough staff on hand to help out. If there is not enough staff then maybe they should not have booked so many in one day. Just saying.
We were very disappointed and we will not go back.
