This was by far the worst experience I’ve had at a CAVA, which is surprising because we’ve been to at least three other locations and had consistently good meals. This Alpharetta location was a complete letdown.
Right away, the meat looked dry, which should have been a red flag. Unfortunately, it only went downhill from there. The food was genuinely bad, especially the protein. The steak was dry and unappetizing, and several other menu options were unavailable. When I asked if there was fresher steak, I was told it wouldn’t be much better than what was already in the container. The small amount that was added was only slightly better, but overall still disappointing.
For a location in Alpharetta, you’d expect top-tier quality, especially given CAVA’s reputation and the strong experiences we’ve had elsewhere. Instead, I ended up leaving about 95% of my bowl uneaten because it simply wasn’t enjoyable.
Customer service itself was fine, so this doesn’t seem like an attitude issue. It honestly felt like an off day, which is confusing considering this location has a high rating and a large number of positive reviews. Maybe it was the time of day or just this particular Saturday, but the food quality was far below what I’ve come to expect from CAVA.

This is by far my favorite Cava in the Alpharetta/Roswell/Johns Creek area. The staff are always attentive, friendly and provide exceptional customer service. Today, Diana was phenomenal in each of the aforementioned categories. I will literally drive out of my way to come to this location.

Arguably the best cava location. I usually go to the one closer to me but I stopped because of lack of service and food quality . Thank god for cava in Alpharetta and their friendly crew members. Food is always fresh!

I love Cava’s food, but the service at this location is unacceptable. The staff is consistently rude, slow, and full of attitude, and it feels like customers are an inconvenience rather than a priority.
They serve old, nearly empty food containers at full price, and asking for anything fresh only makes the attitude worse. I’ve even been given to-go orders without a bag and treated rudely for asking for one. Evening visits are especially awful.
Cava used to stand for fresh food and great service, but this location is damaging the brand. It’s hard to believe there’s any management on site. I used to be a loyal customer—now I’d rather take my money to Chipotle, where customers are actually respected.

Sofia provided outstanding service while preparing my bowl at CAVA. She was patient, attentive, and genuinely kind, making the experience feel welcoming from start to finish. It’s important to remember that many of the people working there are college students doing their best, and they deserve to be treated with respect. Not every customer is kind, specially when its busy I was there on Monday and clearly they were short staffed, they were running out of chicken, but be considerate, service workers are human too and deserve the same courtesy they give us and don’t take things personal, if they are not giving you more is not because of your face is because they have portions. Sofia handled everything with professionalism and grace she truly deserves a raise!
