  I visited Corner Chophouse back in September shortly after it opened. I had sent some private feedback but never heard back, so thought I'd share my initial impressions here too. The space itself is inviting and elegant, with an old school flair. With that said, I got the impression that they haven't figured out exactly what they want the vibe to be. The food was underwhelming. The appetizers were very hit or miss. The steak I received was lukewarm at best and did not match the pricing. We also tried the Half Chicken & Dumplings which was quite frankly a huge miss and had no flavor at all. The nickel and diming is excessive. Bread (very good though) is not included. Sides are not included (and priced at a premium). Sauces are not included. There was a $5 surcharge added for a standard cocktail order on top of the base spirit, which I've never seen before. The corkage fee was higher than what was quoted on the phone. On a positive note, the service was fantastic and the staff were all friendly. Overall, if you are going to charge a premium, everything should be flawless. I'm curious to revisit now that it's been a couple of months, but my expectations are low since there is so much to work on. I hope they figure it out though.

  We had an absolutely incredible experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the hostess was warm and welcoming, and every staff member we interacted with was just as wonderful. But our server, Icaro, truly made the night unforgettable. He went above and beyond in every way. My in-laws speak Portuguese, and the moment he realized that, he seamlessly switched languages and made them feel completely at home. That personal touch meant so much to all of us. Throughout the meal he was kind, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. At the end, he even shook our hands, which was such a respectful and heartfelt gesture. The food was amazing, the service was exceptional, and the entire experience was one of the best we’ve ever had. We will definitely be coming back—thank you, Icaro, and the entire team, for such a memorable night!

  Corner Chophouse has become our go‑to spot for post‑shop gatherings and after‑hours cocktails. The bar is buzzing, the martinis hit just right, and the full menu — from bone marrow to filet sliders — delivers every time. The ambiance is warm yet elevated, the staff is professional and attentive, and the location in Hannibal Square makes it easy to get everyone together. Highly recommend for a night out with the crew or a relaxed dinner that turns into something more.

  We visited Corner Chop House tonight for our anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish! Our server, James, was fantastic, incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and truly in tune with making our night a memorable one. The restaurant went above and beyond by printing our anniversary celebration on the menu and even surprising us with a hand-signed card from the staff. We felt so special and appreciated! The food was amazing, every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Our favorites were the bread service, pork belly, Squash & Pumpkin Ravioli, and the petite iceberg salad, each one was spot on! Thank you Corner Chop House for making our anniversary dinner such a beautiful and unforgettable experience. We’ll definitely be back soon, can’t wait to try more dishes!

  So happy to have a steakhouse in line with everything you’d expect from any of the other “name brand” examples in an approachable neighborhood setting. The small touches that have been added from what the previous Tap room presented have given this space a warm and cozy atmosphere that is at once welcoming. Our food and service were both amazing on our very first visit, leaving us with a truly positive experience that gave us both satisfaction of our appetites AND value for the money we spent. We had pork chops, a steak and several sides with bread service and all were prepared perfectly as ordered. -A great wine list and full bar as well. I have recommended the place to numerous clients and friends. Ask for James as your server! A fantastic job!!
