- PHPhoenix HiraethMar 30, 20262.0Overall we're pretty disappointed. The meats were warm at best, definitely not hot. The smoked sausage was pretty good, the turkey was alright. The cornbread was good but would have benefited from honey or butter. The coleslaw was awesome and the cheesy potatoes were very good but a little salty. The house salad had spinach spring mix instead of the kale it was supposed to have. I understand adjusting ingredients seasonally and whatnot, but don't make the first listed ingredient the variable without being clear. There was a lot of chickpeas, corn, and cornbread croutons which were all very good. I got the balsamic vinaigrette and I can only say I'm thankful they put it on the side and not over the salad. Being homemade I assume they would put their own twist on it, but what they gave me tasted like a vinegar based BBQ sauce. The only sauces they have on the table are their own; one mild and one spicy. The spicy one was okay. Not great but definitely not worth seeking out again. The mild one tasted heavily of liquid smoke. The blueberry cheesecake bar for dessert was by far my favorite part of the meal. It was creamy, flavorful, and rich. Sharing one between 2 people is plenty due to the richness.

I have been coming here for years and it seems like every time you go something is shrinking. The sides, meat, and even the drink shrunk. And dont even think about getting the brisket platter. They give you 2 thin small pieces of brisket and 1/2 of it is all fat. This use to be a great spot but now its bad and too overly commercialized. The food it self was alright. Not really authentic bbq. Wont be coming here agian. Misson bbq is way better.
