  I ordered the Salmon Nikkei and the Vaca Frita. The Vaca Frita was delicious, the Salmon Nikkei was a little undercooked. Maybe I should have suggested how I prefer my salmon cooked since Bocas House is known for Ceviches. However, both meals were well presented and fresh. The staff was somewhat helpful and attentive.

  Este restaurante es uno de los favoritos de mis hijos. Les encanta la comida, siempre fresca y deliciosa, y el ambiente es muy familiar y cómodo. El servicio es amable y paciente, algo que como mamá valoro muchísimo. Es un lugar perfecto para venir en familia, disfrutar sin estrés y pasar un buen rato juntos. Sin duda, seguiremos regresando. ¡Muy recomendado!

  Today 02/22/26 I had a great experience at Bocas. The food was absolutely delicious — everything was fresh and full of flavor. It truly exceeded my expectations. Our server, Alejandro, was outstanding. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. He really made the experience even better. I definitely recommend this place and will be coming back!

  Not a great experience. I think the servers are spread thin or something. Our server was helping what seemed like all the tables. Long time waiting for it to be our turn. Our server was pleasant but not friendly. The host, food runners, and buser were nice. The food quality needs to be better. Meat was fatty, mashed potatoes were chalky, and ceviche had bare minimum flavor. The restaurant was so cold, it made everything more unenjoyable. My coffee was cold for what felt like a few seconds. We left and we are still cold. We drove home with no ac in the car. We definitely could have asked to be moved outside but the inside should not be so freezing. Also the qr code on the receipt to pay didn’t work. I was asked to leave a review.

  I have been wanting to go to this place since they opened and finally got the chance. My friends order was juicy, fresh, and flavorful. My order, the chicken breast entree, was unfortunately pretty plain without any garnishings - I didn't bother with a pic of it. Had my waiter, Jose, been a little bit more attentive I think I would have chosen a better option. It seems he did not have patience enough for my questions on the menu, even walked away without a word to attend to another group and seat people coming in - it was obvious he forgot about us before we could actually place our order. He didn't get my order right, then forgot to bring my friend his salad, we felt like an after thought the whole time really. We called another waitress to help bring some chimichurri that was forgotten - I dont know how she heard what I needed because she walked away before I was even done talking. Very, very odd behavior. I most likely would not return because of this. They also skimp you on the portion sizes, small amounts of rice and beans etc, with only meat left over when you're done.
