  The worst Jamaican food I've had and I am Jamaican and I have tried a lot of restaurants. I almost want to call my bank because of how displeased I am. Ordered a serving of Jerked Chicken and a bun and cheese. The jerked chicken had zero flavor-NONE! The chicken was so overdone, it felt like mush when chewing it. Completely soft. I've never experienced that before. The bun was okay but the cheese had that dried look and stale taste. I'm not sure why the bun and cheese was not being refridgerated. Everyone knows how quickly Tastee cheese goes rancid if not cooled. The only highlight was the young lady at the front who so kindly took my order.

  I had such a great experience at Mr Mack’s Island Grill! I couldn’t even take a picture of the food because I was so hungry 🤤 and it looked so amazing that I had to dig in right away. The flavors were incredible and my son and I left with completely full bellies—happy and grateful! From the moment you walk in, the staff welcomes you with big smiles and such a warm attitude. The atmosphere feels very family-oriented and comfortable, which made the experience even better. It’s always a blessing to find a place where the food is delicious and the people are genuinely kind. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for great food, a welcoming environment, and a spot where you can enjoy a meal with your family. We will definitely be coming back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  My recent visit to Mr. Max Jamaican Restaurant was disappointing. It appears to be the only Jamaican establishment in the area offering a lunch special without including a beverage. At most comparable restaurants, a drink is standard with a lunch special, so the omission stands out. What makes this more frustrating is that the food itself doesn’t justify the price point. The quality was underwhelming, yet the menu leans toward the higher end compared with other Jamaican spots nearby. In the end, you’re paying more for a meal that delivers less, and without even the small courtesy of a drink included. There are far better options in the area. I won’t be returning.
