Absolutely horrible experience! Rude server! I personally REFUSE TO TIP!! Esp 20% on a $300 bill - absolutely not. The server ACTUALLY got rude with us after they saw I didn’t tip at ALL. Then get a real job. Food- subpar and our server was a little slow upstairs if you know what I mean. For starters, we needed our steak medium well to well because my wife is pregnant and that’s very important. It came out almost rare but I ate it anyway and my wife ordered the gnocchi as her 2nd choice. We also waited for over 5 minutes after it had already been a while before we were checked on after being seated and even then, they server didn’t show up with water or anything let alone ready to do their job. They picked up the extra place settings and said “sorry I need these.” Like okay? Nice name and thanks for taking our order. We should’ve just left. Also, the owner or main lady there needs to leave the guests alone - she’s extremely intrusive IMO. Place is overrated, overpriced and rude.

One cold night, a month ago, my husband and I had our 2 golden doodles out with us and wanted to have a nice dinner. We went to City Cellar in City Place. Because we had the dogs, we had to sit outside. But it was a bit nippy! So our server, Jeffrey, said "no problem. We'll put on the heaters". The sun was setting and in my eyes. Jeffrey asked "would you like me to lower the blinds?". The music was a little loud. Jeffrey said "no problem, I'll lower the volume." Little things that could have made our dinner a less pleasant experience, Jeffrey erased from our visit. Our server told us that he just moved down to FL from upstate NY. Jeffrey was great! Personable, friendly, and a hustler! Our food was delicious! My hubby ordered some lobster appetizer, steaks, and other tasty treats. The floor manager, Safeena, stopped by our table to see how we were enjoying our dinner. We can't wait to go back! Hopefully Jeffrey will still be there and be our server again! Thanks for being friendly and kind to my dogs and the lovely dinner City Cellar!

The food and the atmosphere are really nice; however, the service was really poor. Our plates and cups were dirty, the waiter took at least 40 minutes to get to our table to give us water, and then another 30 minutes to bring the food out. He only came back to check on us once we were ready to pay for the check. And then when he brought the check, he started acting all nice. They give you an iPad to pay on, and you have to give a tip right in front of them. So it feels really awkward to tip anything under 20%, even though the service was horrible. Not a pleasant experience. The food was amazing; however, I won't be coming back due to the poor service.

Unfortunately, our experience was below expectation. We initially tried to sit at the indoor bar, but the staff were significantly more engaged in conversation with each other than attentive to arriving guests. After waiting for a generous amount of time without being acknowledged, we decided to leave and then discovered the outdoor bar. The service outside was somewhat more attentive, but still not at the level we would expect. While the food was fine, the overall service experience was disappointing and ultimately the deciding factor for us. We cut the experience short. With more consistent attention to guest arrival and basic hospitality — greeting customers, offering menus, cutlery - and checking in promptly, this could have been a fun spot to have dinner. At the moment, however, service is an area that needs significant improvement.

"DO NOT GO ON A SATURDAY NIGHT." Terrible service. We’ve been here before and decided to bring visiting family, but the experience was awful. We were seated quickly, then completely forgotten. One waitress said she’d be right back and never returned. Another server clearly knew we hadn’t been helped but barely checked on us, forgot the bread, and only spoke to us at the end. One dish came out long before the others. When the manager, Jessica, checked in, we explained everything. She apologized and tried to make things right by adjusting our bill, offering us more food & drinks (at that point we just wanted to leave) and gave us her business card for the future which was appreciated, but it didn’t fix the experience. The rest of the food arrived about 10 minutes later—and it was cold. To make it worse, our waitress (crimped blonde ponytail) said to come again just “don't come on a Saturday night” because it’s busy and didn’t even bring boxes for leftovers. We understand restaurants get busy, but the lack of communication and care was unacceptable. Based on other reviews, this seems to be an ongoing issue.
