I placed an order in the drive-thru, and when I reached the window, I asked to clarify the order because it was wrong. After clarifying, I was given a new total. I handed over my card and then had to ask for my receipt — it was not going to be provided unless I requested it. After pulling away, I checked the receipt and saw that almost $3 had been added as a tip without my consent. I did not authorize a tip of any amount. I can’t help but worry how many customers ahead of me had the same thing happen without realizing it. When I tried calling the location to dispute the charge, the phone just rang with no answer. I then called corporate, but after more than ten minutes, no one answered there either. To make matters worse, the items I did receive were incorrect. My coffee was made decaf even though I never ordered decaf, and the donuts were not the ones I selected. Overall, it was a complete waste of nearly $16. I expect a full refund, an investigation into this location’s tipping practices, and confirmation that this issue is being addressed so it doesn’t happen to anyone else.
