This place is an absolute disaster and easily the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We waited nearly an hour for our food while multiple plates sat out in plain view for over 30 minutes getting cold. No urgency, no communication—just staff walking around like nothing was wrong.
When I finally went up to ask, they brushed me off and said “15 more minutes.” After already waiting forever. Then comes the real kicker—they admitted they gave our food to the wrong person… and instead of remaking it, they tried to hand us the same food that had been sitting there the entire time. Like we were animals who wouldn’t notice or care.
When we refused, they straight up said the kitchen wouldn’t remake it. Wouldn’t. Remake. It. That tells you everything you need to know about how little they care about customers.
We ended up getting a refund and walking out, but the damage was already done. What’s even worse is this clearly wasn’t just happening to us—we watched them try the same nonsense with other people. It feels like their whole system is just throwing Hail Marys with old food and hoping customers accept it.
Completely unacceptable, disrespectful, and honestly disgusting. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being ignored, lied to, and treated like you don’t matter.
Placed a pick up order for our family. Food was hot and quality was pretty good and the order was ready very fast. Maybe too fast bc they missed a lot of the little details. All three kids meals were supposed to come with drinks (in our case 2 chocolate milks and 1 bottled water) and all three drinks were missed. Additionally, one kids meal didn’t arrive with the included side dish (in our case Apple slices). Not the end of the world, but inconvenient, paid for something we didn’t get, but not worth the time to go back and address it. Just double check your take out orders. We should have. But it was easy to order online and was ready quickly-which was exactly what we needed.

I’m really disappointed with my recent visit to Talkin Tacos. While I usually enjoy this spot, the professionalism yesterday night was lacking. I observed an employee with braids walk out to a car with a group of men, and they all proceeded to smoke in the vehicle. Shortly after, that same employee walked back into the restaurant and was serving food to customers while clearly smelling like marijuana. It made for a very uncomfortable dining experience and felt unhygienic given she was handling plates of food. I hope management addresses this.
Terrible place 😔I was surprised to see they had mahi which I love so we both ordered a bowl but unfortunately the service was slow they messed up the order gave me and him both stuff we did not want on it even though I marked to have it taken off forgot the one thing I actually did want on it and we both got sick the same day/morning after eating it I payed almost $50 including tip and was highly disappointed with this place the decoration of the place inside were nice however not worth it at all for the price service and the quality of the food they serve you. Would not recommend to anyone
I visited Talkin’ Tacos recently for Taco Tuesday, excited to enjoy one of my favorite dishes—birria tacos with consommé. As a chef, I always look forward to experiencing bold, well-balanced flavors, especially with a dish that’s known for its richness and depth. Unfortunately, this visit fell short of expectations.
The birria tacos were the biggest disappointment initially. The meat had a noticeably scorched, burnt taste that overpowered everything. I did address my concerns with the team, and the chef offered to prepare a fresh batch of tacos, which I appreciated. The second set did come out without the burnt flavor, but they still lacked seasoning—no real depth, very little sodium, and missing that authentic, rich Mexican flavor profile that birria is known for.
The sides didn’t help redeem the meal. The Mexican rice looked the part with the cilantro and onion garnish, but it was extremely bland and under-seasoned. It lacked that savory, comforting taste you expect. The refried beans were also underwhelming in both flavor and texture, not tasting fresh or properly developed.
Overall, the presentation and execution felt rushed, and the quality didn’t match the expectation. Birria is all about bold flavor, slow-cooked richness, and balance—and that just wasn’t there.
I always believe in giving honest feedback because it creates opportunity for growth. I appreciate the team attempting to correct the issue, but consistency, seasoning, and authenticity are key areas that need improvement.
