  Simply the best! Great hot dogs, sausages, and hot sandwiches. Mel’s is a Tampa institution. The atmosphere is perfect to enjoy a lunch or dinner at this iconic hot dog stand. Amazing, friendly staff, and very clean.

  If you're craving a real Chicago-style hot dog or juicy Italian beef sandwich without flying to the Windy City, head to Mel's Hot Dogs in Tampa. This spot has been serving authentic Midwest flavors for over 50 years. They use Vienna Beef dogs with that perfect snap on a poppy seed bun loaded with mustard, neon relish, onions, tomatoes, pickle, sport peppers, and celery salt (no ketchup). The Italian beef is tender roast beef in flavorful broth—get it sweet, hot with giardiniera, or dipped in rich au jus (they often give extra). It's got a chill retro diner vibe near Busch Gardens.

  Still love this place been coming here since I was a teenager I am 55 almost if I have any complaints I got a side of baked beans and it was literally around three spoonfuls and I was charged an extra $0.50 for it which came out to $3 and again three spoonfuls the hot dogs are great I recommend the Chicago I paid $11 for a hot dog and a side of baked beans that was about three spoonfuls other than that have no complaints just that they need to give more food for the money!!
