Fun, 24 hour north Tampa ( N. Florida Avenue and Fletcher by all the car dealerships )area diner in what looks like an ancient Taco Bell building that's been converted into a wonderful 50's- 60's style diner with an outdoor covered terrace as well as indoor restaurant. They offer a great menu full of all types of entre selections including all day breakfasts like pancakes and eggs, challah French toast, an all meat omelette with ham and bacon, vegetable omelette, many others, Dagwood type sandwiches, soups, pastas including lasagne, all types of salads, Greek foods and fantastic cakes from chocolate to cheesecake.
The late night, early morning waitress was friendly, attentive, fun and interesting to talk with which of course makes a big difference in how well the meal goes. I'll definitely be back as the food and atmosphere at Joe's New York Diner is really wonderful.
Unfortunately, our waitress ruined our entire visit. She took our orders and then came back and asked again what sandwhich hubby ordered. He got a turkey club when he ordered a patty melt. She charged for item that we confirmed was included with entree "according to the menu". Promptly advised us the menu was wrong. Then she was upset with us when we requested it be removed. She stated she didn't put the charge on the bill and what she "charged" was right according to her. This went on for 10 minutes! They finally removed the charge.
ALLERGY ALERT!! I have a hard time going out to eat but my boyfriend and i thought we would try this place for breakfast. Not only was our waitress tarrah absolutely fantastic, she was also super supportive of my severe allergies and reassured me there would be something on the menu we could find for me to eat. My food was fantastic and allergy friendly. My boyfriend said his food was also fantastic. Cute spot and worth it to stop into
Went to the diner after leaving the club at like 2am. The place was half filled and loud rock music was blaring. We were sat comfortably and the staff was very kind. However the breakfast meal i ordered was not that good. My bacon was over cooked. The syrup they provide is not tasty..My friend had chicken and waffles and he said just ok. If everything else is closed. This is a decent place to get got food because it is 24 hours.

My Eggs Benedict was really good. The only thing is, it didn't come with potatoes. I definitely remember answering the questions "Do you want potatoes or grits" but when our food came out it was just the eggs on the plate. When I asked where the potatoes were, the server said "you didn't ask for them". I didn't feel like arguing, so I asked if I could still get potatoes and I was told the kitchen was too backed up. It's breakfast potatoes! Half the griddle should be covered in potatoes on a Saturday morning! Anyway, my friend didn't receive his toast and my other friend, while content with what they ordered was shocked that a $13 BLT didn't come with fries, they were an additional $5.
In conclusion. The food we received was tasty. The hollendase sauce on my Benedict was fantastic. Our service, though not super fast, was friendly.
I just think the prices are a bit high for what you're getting, especially if you don't receive all of what you ordered and nothing is done to accommodate the ommission.
I understand that Saturday mornings are busy, but this was our first time coming here and I'd probably not come back.
