  10/10 I had an absolutely incredible experience at this Japanese restaurant and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and beautifully designed striking a perfect balance between modern elegance and traditional Japanese charm. The food was truly outstanding. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, but more importantly, the flavors were exceptional. The sushi was incredibly fresh, with perfectly seasoned rice and high-quality fish that practically melted in my mouth. You can really tell the chefs take pride in their craft. The service was just as impressive. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal without ever feeling intrusive. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you’re a sushi lover or just looking for an amazing dining experience, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

  Overall fantastic Sushi restaurant, great service and good food. The Japanese Fried chicken was a great appetizer, and the sushi was spot on. Went here while traveling for work. Would come back. Dropped it a star for two reasons, atmosphere they had signs about Sake.... but sadly they don't have Sake. I ordered Miso soup but didn't get it, thought she may have missed it, but when I saw it on the bill I told her to leave it and just make it to go. So all good... awesome staff so will be back.

  This place is a total gem! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming and the service is top-notch. The sushi is incredibly fresh—you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. Every roll we tried was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. Whether you’re a fan of the classics or looking for something more unique, the menu has something for everyone. Everything was perfect. If you're looking for a consistently delicious sushi experience, this is the spot. Highly recommended!

  Ive been going to Ichiban for 25+ years (when they were by USF). They set the bar by which I compare all other sushi places and most every one comes up short! The rice is perfectly textured, not too little, not too much; the fish is always fresh. My favorites: the Matt and Rosy roll, the Chirashi (best one Ive ever had and Ive looked!), the Kentucky Roll is delightful, especially for non-fish eaters, oh and the fresh scallop special! Service is always great and they are very prompt with the sushi bar items. My only complaint is they moved so close to my house in the Heights that it's hard to resist ordering from them weekly!

  I’ve ordered from Ichiban many times and have always loved the quality of their sushi, which is why today’s experience was so disappointing. I ordered the Florida roll, but it was missing the avocado. The rice layer was unusually thick, and the fish portions were small and uneven—it even seemed like they might have been running low on salmon. The salmon nigiri was chewy and overly fatty, and much of the salmon in the roll appeared pale rather than the fresh pink I’m used to. The tuna nigiri was also tough, with a lot of connective tissue. I’m hoping this was just a one-time issue with quality control, as I’ve had great experiences here before and would like to return as a satisfied customer
