  Sal y Mar delivered exactly the kind of elevated experience we look for in a rooftop venue. The atmosphere is unmatched with panoramic views, stylish decor, and a vibe that instantly puts you in the right headspace to enjoy the night. The staff deserves real credit. Their hospitality was on point all evening. Professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they take pride in creating a smooth and enjoyable experience from the moment you step off the elevator. We recently hosted an event there and our entire crowd had an incredible experience. The space elevated the night, the service kept everything flowing, and the overall environment made it easy for everyone to enjoy themselves.

  I’ve been to Sal Y Mar many times over the years. Absolutely have loved the rooftop vibe and Latin flair! They even had a live electric violinist one time and I booked him for my own event, since he was amazing! Most recently, I’ve really enjoyed the chicken chimichurri and the tostones are so authentic! They also have some really amazing Zero Proof options. My favorite is the Softcore Pornstar (that’s the name lol), and it’s made with real passionfruit juice. Delicious! I also need to shout out Carlos, one of the servers. I dine out frequently and WOW! He’s such an attentive and genuinely caring server. Truly wants to ensure you have a wonderful experience. Sal Y Mar is SO blessed to have him! Thank you Carlos for such a wonderful dining experience!

  From the moment we arrived, we were impressed; the food, drinks, and overall atmosphere were all fantastic. We also had the opportunity to speak with Annette after dinner, and we shared how much we enjoyed everything. The DJ truly made the night; the energy was perfect, the music was on point, and honestly, I would come back just for him and the Pornstar Martini! It was our first night out, and were so glad we chose Sal y Mar. Thank you for the hospitality and for creating such a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back and will be recommending the restaurant to others.

  Been here so many times for so many different occasions, from low key after work drinks to the recent halloween party. I come for the location, it’s extremely convenient & decent rooftop considering it’s on Dale Mabry. The experience is always the same: just ok food & really slow, apathetic bar service. No sense of leadership or enthusiasm. Sometimes we’ll luck out & get good service at the bar, but for the most part, there is not a feeling of the importance of hospitality. Music is hit or miss. Signature cocktails are really good at least. Will probably keep coming back for free parking, convenient location, nice views at sundown, & tasty drinks, keeping in mind expectations are low.

  Nice rooftop bar and restaurant nestled inside the a hotel. The entryway is pretty open and well lit although it's a little confusing to find the entrance after you find parking. ( pro tip: go inside the elevator entrance then hop on the elevators but make sure they service Sal Y Mar. ) When we arrived (a party of 15+) we were able to find a few tables near the heat lamps with the balcony view of tampa bay. The vibe was very laid back and on point thanks to the DJ who had a nice array of music covering quite a few genres. Over near the pool there is a great view of the skyline for photograph ops or just enjoying one of the great cocktails they served. The staff was on their game and great with recommendations as well as with the classics. I highly recommend a visit. My only draw back is that it's a rooftop venue so the dj ended at 11pm then it was just ambient music great for conversations
