My husband and I went here for the second time and had not been in a while. Our waitress was really nice. We were disappointed that our appetizer and tacos came out only room temperature. The flavor of the food was good, but shortly after leaving we both started feeling pretty sick. It was definitely not the same experience as the first time we went there. It was also a lot more expensive than our previous time going. We don’t think it was worth $87 for only an app, tacos, and waters.

I came here this evening with my sister for dinner after a long beach day. We both ordered a cocktail and the queso fundido to start. The beverages were extremely sweet and you couldn't taste any alcohol. The queso fundido was quite frankly disgusting and immediately made both of our stomachs hurt. We then ordered the carne asada tacos, but they were missing the pickled onion and lacked flavor entirely and did not taste good. We ordered a second alcoholic beverage again but tried something different but had the same problem (extremely sugary, not good, no alcohol) The bill came and was $130. We tipped our server 22% because we're good people but honestly, it was painful to spend that amount of money on food and drinks that we did not enjoy at all. We had to rush out of the restaurant because I was feeling extremely sick and actually threw up in the mall parking lot. I believe it was a combination of the extremely sugary drinks and nasty appetizer but I am super dissatisfied and disappointed.

I am actually a little blown away by all of it. From start to finish. From the hostesses (such sweethearts) to the server, to the food. Most important, though, I want this to be regarding our server! I didn’t get his name but I’ll try to describe him. He was tall, dreads, and beautiful smile. I have lived in St. Pete for two years now, and I am always disappointed by the service. They are either not very kind, not very knowledgeable, forget something or they take forever and you are always looking for them. Our server was incredible, he was upbeat, and super sharp! He was slammed, yet you couldn’t see it on his face! He was so detail oriented in everything he asked and was so helpful with our questions. I really wish there was a way he could be paid just a tad bit more or rewarded by the best sections lol idk. But anyways, it was so nice to be able to focus on my friend, and the food, for once - instead of frustrated with the experience the whole time!

We had such a great experience at Rocco’s Tacos! Any time I have friends in town, Rocco’s is my go to spot for great margaritas and food. The Black Diamond Margarita is top tier, highly recommended. I definitely recommend getting the table side guacamole. They make it at your table to your spice liking. Our server Kris K was the BEST! He had such a great welcoming attitude, and loved his job. Rocco was actually in town, and Kris brought him over to say hello. This definitely made another experience at Rocco’s for me. Thanks for the great service Kris!

We arrived around 3pm with zero people in line. We were told a 30 minute wait. After waiting 35 minutes we were moved from #2 in line and waited another 15 minutes then went back to #3 in line.
I asked the desk host if she can please tell me why we’re being moved back. She stated, “we are out of forks. We cannot seat anyone until there are forks on the tables”.
We could have at least been seated and offered drinks and chips. There were six empty tables.
I didn’t say anything but that was not what I’d like to hear from a restaurant. You’re out of forks at 3 pm during a slow time?
I politely waited fifteen more minutes. My daughter and I were seated. Another hostess brought us each a fork and handed it to us.
The original hostess came to our table and said, in these words, “Did someone seat you? This table was reserved for someone who was waiting for a table.”
My daughter replied, “we were waiting and were seated by a hostess”. Then she asked “who seated you!”
This was honestly the most rude treatment we’ve ever experienced at a restaurant.
Besides this, we waited another ten minutes for anyone to take a drink order.
Our waiter was very kind.
Guac and chips $17.00 salsa was another $8.00 and came with chips. The chips were medium brown when served- in my opinion over done, but this may be their style.
The menus looked great. The food taste- not so much.
$5.00 lemonade.
The first time we here about a year ago the food seemed better. Something changed. It was not tasty this time and the chicken was tough to chew.
I didn’t complain but I’ll never go back again. I wanted to share my honest experience with future customers.
Great guacamole but $17.00 is a bit high. The salsa was too $ in my opinion didn’t taste good.
Good lemonade $5.00 each is a bit high
I didn’t order a plate. I shared with my 2nd daughter. My first daughter ordered two chicken tacos. My second daughter ordered three chicken Birria tacos ($24.00) The bill was $108.00 including a $19.00 tip.
Great atmosphere
The food : not so much
