  Grew up in Chicago . I know what their food should taste like beef was same, good . The fries were the saltiest that I’ve ever had . Plus they messed up the order hot peppers on the side had to go back .

  Food is always fresh. Best fries and hotdogs around! Great milkshakes! Staff is always friendly. Fun rhymes when your order number is called. Bathrooms are always clean! Free cake slice on your birthday when you have Portillo's rewards. Also they have a handful of beer on tap served in a frosty mug; not something I'd expect from this type of restaurant. Just an overall good place. It's our Friday night go to! Love Portillo's!

  Portillos always hits. Everyone knows about the dogs and beef but my sleeper pick is the French fries. One of the few places that understands how to properly salt French fries. The fries do not require a dipping sauce to be great but their cheese sauce is so great that I would get a side of it to dip anyways.

The service was smooth, the energy in the place was great, and the atmosphere really brought that classic Chicago vibe to Tampa. The food was outstanding, the beer was ice cold, and the desserts were the perfect finish. Everything came out fresh, fast, and exactly how it should be. My family and I had an amazing time here.   My son wanted to stop at Portillo’s for dinner on the way to a TB Lightning game, and I am glad he did! The food was yummy. In fact, our family devoured the beef sandwich and chili dog before taking a picture - they were that good. The family pack of chicken tenders was ideal for us to share. The “sauce flight” was a clever and memorable idea, and the sauces were yummy! My daughter enjoyed a chocolate cake shake and my wife loved the traditional chocolate shake. Delish. I would highly recommend a visit if you haven’t yet been. PS. The decorations were really cool - the life sized gangster car up higher near the ceiling was a show stopper. Great job!
