Founded in Florida in 2009, 4 Rivers Smokehouse is a family-owned business specializing in slow-smoked barbecue, homestyle sides, and fresh desserts made daily in our bakery. South Tampa was the tenth Smokehouse to open in the Sunshine State and is located just down the road from Raymond James Stadium, downtown, the bay, and the Florida Aquarium. It’s also located only a couple of miles from the University of Tampa.
John’s commitment to bold flavor twists and creative ingredient combinations has garnered numerous accolades for the 4R signature style of BBQ, including being named the 2020 "South's Best BBQ" joint by Southern Living.

Everything we ordered was seasoned just right and came out hot and delicious. You can truly taste the quality. But what made the experience even better was Tommy. He was amazing! From the moment we walked in, he was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. He made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make our visit special. Great customer service like that really stands out. If you’re looking for great food and top-tier service, 4 Rivers is the place to go. We will definitely be back!

- C1Cboss 1003Feb 11, 20265.0There aren't many Bar-B-Q places in the Wesley Chapel area and the ones there aren't very good. I will drive to Corrollwood in North Tampa to have 4 Rivers. I do the KETO diet so, when I ask for fatty brisket, or the point, and ask them to add extra of the fatty top crust that they normally cut off, they will give it to me. It isn't perfect Bar-B-Q but it is one of the best in the North Tampa/Wesley Chapel area, and i do highly recommend it.
