  When i walked in, 2 people asked me my name, I told both of them. I waited and waited. The 2 guys making the to-go order didn’t look back at the line of people waiting for their pick up orders. I finally got their attention and asked for my food, the guy looked and handed me my bag which had been sitting there for about 5 minutes untouched. When i walked out, i realized I didn’t have the side of pita I asked for in my order. I went back in and got it. When i got home, i didn’t have my 2 sides of dressing, and the 3 dips/spreads I ordered are not in my bowl. Highly disappointed. I waited for about 15 minutes for a bowl i’m not even going to eat now. This isn’t the first time i’ve had issues at this location.

  The food has always been on point, but today was specifically a stand out. Matthew behind the counter was exceptional. He didn’t just take our order, he listened. We didn’t know of a couple menu changes and he helped us through them with patience and respect. Additionally, there were some other hold ups due to large volume of customers and we saw Matthew take charge and ensure the crew was running smoothly with purpose. In other words, he kept the chaos from getting out of hand and made things smooth. Matt, thanks to you, we will be repeat customers for the foreseeable future and hope to see you again.

  There’s still no A/C! It’s so hot inside and it’s getting hot outside. It’s uncomfortable to eat here. I made my own bowl and the lentils were so undercooked I almost chipped a tooth. It’s like chewing stones. The server didn’t know how I could pay with an electronic gift card and just told me to use the barcode in the app (lack of training?) I asked if someone else knew and she said no. I had to end up paying out of pocket which was annoying, I only came bc of my gift card. There were no pita chips available. I’m kind of over it. There’s another location downtown Tampa and they aren’t much better. I’d rather go to local fast casual.

  A consistently bad cava location. The AC still doesn’t work so it’s always hot and stuffy. The tables are dirtier than a McDonald’s. The soda machine is broken. Employees don’t know the menu at all. The water street location is significantly better, just go there instead. The food is good, but it’s the same lukewarm, overpriced slop bowls we’ve all grown a bit tired of lately.

  I must say I am always pleased every time I come to get food here at this cava. I don’t always make the decision to come out this way but when I do I am always delighted with my experience. Specifically two people were so very helpful, Eden was so kind and walked me through the different options when beginning to create my bowl, and then Bryan at the register, just a super bright and pleasant dude to have at the register. Very satisfied with the team over here on Dale Mabry, thank you! Edit: Also the food was good, as usual here. Just wanted to really focus on the awesome people working her.
