South Tampa was the tenth Smokehouse to open in the Sunshine State and is located just down the road from Raymond James Stadium, downtown, the bay, and the Florida Aquarium. It’s also located only a couple of miles from the University of Tampa.

- JJJessie3 days ago3.0We are 0-4 on a correct take out order. Whether it's a forgotten side or a sauce, they just cannot get it right. Portions are small. Not worth the hassle of checking my take out order in the car every time we go there. Think we're finally giving up. Don't recommend.

However, the customer service and reliability have become a consistent issue. We order from this location frequently for office lunches and events, and unfortunately, every single time there is some type of mistake with the order. When you’re spending a significant amount of money for catering, accuracy matters. Just last week, I spent close to $200 on a catering order for our office, and the entire order arrived with no barbecue sauce. For a barbecue restaurant, how does that even happen? When you’re ordering for a group, you rely on the restaurant to get the basics right. I called to address the issue and was met with an attitude from the manager. Instead of taking accountability, I was given multiple excuses about not seeing the online order. I was promised a credit for the inconvenience, but it has now been a week and I have yet to receive anything. It’s disappointing because we truly enjoy the food, but you simply cannot rely on them for an event or office catering. If consistency and customer service matter to you, I would think twice before placing a large order here.
