Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers reported consistently slow service, particularly in the drive-thru, with wait times often exceeding 20-30 minutes.
Food Quality
While some customers enjoyed the food, there were numerous complaints about cold or incorrect orders, and issues with food preparation.
Staff Attitude
Customer service experiences varied, with some praising friendly staff while others reported rude or inattentive behavior.
Cleanliness
Feedback on cleanliness was mixed; some noted improvements post-renovation, while others described dirty conditions.
Order Accuracy
Several reviews highlighted issues with order accuracy, including missing items and incorrect food preparation.

Food is great, but drive through takes 3-5 business days. Don't go if you're in a hurry. They've removed "fast" from fastfood. Otherwise, staff are friendly and my order is correct most of the time.

1st time trying it, just okay. Drive through took about 15 minutes and I was only the 2nd car in line. Since it was my 1st time here I don't know if this is normal but i was in a hurry to get back to traveling so I would have picked another place had I known. Also had no bottled water so I got the prickly pear drink which was pretty good but very sweet. They also forgot my ketchup that I requested.

We moved to Kentucky, where there are 0 Whataburger restaurants (hint) and had to stop in for a visit while home visiting. We appreciated the friendly greetings and service we received. The shift that is there around noon/1pm is wonderful!
