- RCRegina Carson1 day ago5.0Perfect! Not too spicy. Almost wanted more spice! We did the dinner for 2 and omg so delicious. Really a full course meal and more. Floyd was an amazing server.
- HHharpcomm1 day ago1.0Food was absolutely substandard at lunch… and expensive!. A paneer dish with no vegetables at all in it - in a sauce that tasted like tomato soup out of a can. No garlic naan like in the old days. A lentil dal that was so watery that there was nothing to it. An uninspired cabbage dish and that was the extent of vegetarian choices. Been going to Essence of India for many years and today was so disappointing.Dessert on the buffet looked hideous so we were promised rice pudding - that never came. I couldn’t believe it was $20 when the bill came! With no beverage. Table cleaning nearby, while we were finishing our meal, meant that the smell of the spray disinfected wafted over to us. Won’t ever return.

I was certainly impressed with the richness and flavor profile of the Tikka Masala here! It was spiced well, and seasoned in a balanced manner that brought me all the flavors I was craving! Definitely recommend!

The dining interior and bar area was probably very grand in the '80s. Now, overall, it's mismatched and dated with unpleasant bathrooms. Aside from a couple of pieces of art, there was nothing that really detailed the culture of India, not even the music or television. That's sad. The food was good enough. Service was fast.
