If you don’t want to read my essay - summary, just order from another pizza place.
Look - I don’t really know how many people are checking a Google review to inform their decision to order from Pizza Hut… or this specific location… but the experience was bad enough to warrant me shouting into the void, hoping anyone would hear.
I ordered my pizza through the app yesterday 4/9/26 - just a large dinner box. Expected 2 medium pizzas, some wings, and cinnamon sticks.
After confirming my order, I learned that Pizza Hut is no longer fulfilling their own orders - they are instead partnered with DoorDash. Good way to save money on drivers I guess? Whatever - wasn’t a problem at the time, and hey, maybe it normally isn’t a problem.
However, the DoorDash driver dropped off my food without knocking… I check 3 minutes later because the app finally updated and texted me my food was delivered… outside my door is a 2 liter soda, a medium pizza, and an unsealed box of bread(?). Obviously I was pretty upset.
Now, when you attempt to rectify the situation, you’re sent to DoorDash - and DoorDash tells you to take it up with Pizza Hut. I give them a call, and it’s clear that I’m not the only one having problems. The staff is hanging up the phone, or placing you on holds with no end in sight. There’s no way to troubleshoot an incorrect order. So I decide to drive there, because I’m right down the street - kind of defeats the purpose of delivery, but whatever - I wanted my food.
When I get there, it’s absolute chaos. Probably 6 people waiting, a majority of them door dashers, while a single young woman is manning the phone and trying to deal with difficult customers. Look, it’s not the staff’s fault that this manager clearly does not staff their location properly, nor is it the staff’s fault that Pizza Hut as a business decided to use a *middleman* to deliver food, without properly informing the customer of such a process nor providing support avenues should the process fail. Poor girl was bawling her eyes out because of all the angry people there.
Regardless, I waited for about 45 minutes while my food was made. No idea what happened with the customer who got my order - maybe if they’re as much of a Karen as I am about the situation, their review will be published after mine.
Just order from Dominos or a local pizza place guys. Pizza Hut has seriously gone downhill - I bet every location has similar reviews. For this one in particular, you have to scroll several times to find one positive review.
At least the food I waited an hour and 30 minutes for was pretty good.
