  We came in and were shown to our seat by a grumpy waiter who clearly didn't want to be bothered by us. After we were brought water, we never saw anyone for ten minutes in an empty restaurant. We left soon after.

  If you’re looking for authentic Cuban flavors and top-tier hospitality, El Tropico Cuban Cuisine absolutely delivers. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the food? Incredible. Every dish was packed with rich, bold flavor—clearly made with care and tradition. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service. Educardo went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the menu, he made great recommendations and made us feel right at home. It’s rare to find a place that nails both food and service this well, but El Tropico does it effortlessly. Already looking forward to coming back!

  Unfortunately, the partner isn't polite in the slightest. He corners people in the parking lot to ask if they are parking there to visit his establishment. I explained that I was going to the pharmacy because I needed to, but that I would be back—just as I always do. The staff are great, and the food is excellent as well. However, I did not find it polite of him to approach me to ask that. Pathetic. I was there the day before and was treated very well by the staff; so, I decided to return today—only to have the owner himself play this ridiculous role... It’s truly lamentable.

  Got food poisoning after eating at this restaurant. I felt seriously ill shortly after the meal. I do not recommend this place. Be careful — there are serious concerns about the food quality and hygiene.

  I discovered the best cappuccino I’ve ever had at El Tropico — their “Capuccino El Tropico” is truly something special. For the past few years, I’ve been traveling around the world, trying coffee in dozens of countries, always showing this photo and hoping to find something similar. Unfortunately, nothing has come close. There’s just something unique about the way they make it here — the balance, the flavor, the texture — it’s on another level. Every time I try to replicate this experience somewhere else, I end up disappointed. If you’re in Miami and love coffee, this place is a must-visit. Honestly, it set a standard I haven’t been able to match anywhere else in the world.
