Panera is one of my favorite places to visit. They have healthier food which is a priority for me now. Unfortunately, they're unsweetened tea is stored in a metal container which causes the unsweetened tea to go bad very early. I wish they would fix that.

TL/DR: No sense of customer service, no clue what’s happening, & no ability to triage under pressure.
I went there after a BJs run and went to the drive-thru with my son (daughter waiting eagerly at home for some food). There was one car ahead of me and one behind. After 20 minutes sitting behind the car at the window, I got to the window. No attention, no greeting, no recognition that I was even there. After 35 minutes after I placed the order, the manager (purple shirt - assuming manager) came to the window and I asked what’s happening. She told me they were really busy in the dining room and then asked what’s my order was and told me the drive-thru girl just disappeared on her. I told her my order.
As I was watching cars go around (and likely around to the front to physically place their orders inside) I had a young guy come up and ask if we paid. I asked him if he even knew what my order was and he was surprised when I told him how simple it was: 4 items (Frontega chicken - no onion, Pesto Chicken Dipper, and two kids’ Mac and cheese orders), no drinks and bread for all. He rolled his eyes and said he doesn’t see my order.
Finally, the manager came back to the window after 45 minutes. This was after I honked the horn, yelled “hello” repeatedly, and knocked on the glass window. Although she was apologizing, she failed to realize that the reason someone uses the drive-thru is because they don’t have the time or ability to go inside. I told her that if they’re busy, they should shut down the drive-thru and fulfill the orders for the remaining customers who should have been prioritized based on when they placed their order.
I clarified, again, what my order was. She slapped a bunch of food together and threw it in a bag. She handed it to me quickly and said here is your food.
Of course, the order was wrong: onions on the Frontega and no soup for the Pesto Chicken Dipper. It was clear that the sandwiches were made in haste. My son felt sick when he tried to bread.
@corporate: get it together. Teach your people how to handle stress and to be up front, honest, and accommodating. Customer Service was the worst I have ever seen in a restaurant environment. You can see, no doubt from my own prior reviews, that I don’t just go around bad-mouthing a business. This was pure garbage.

Disappointing from my other Panera experiences. Nice enough facility. Smaller than others in the area so less conducive to longer stays. No booths, only open area seating. 50% high tops, 50% regular seating.
SSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWWW food prep. Not very busy but my order easily took 3 times longer to prepare than at other Panera's for exactly the same order. This is a common observation in reviews. The staff is all working hard and moving quickly so I can't offer a clear observation of what is not working but performance says that something is extremely off.
As others have commented, order accuracy is a challenge. I ordered a sandwich w/o cheese yet it was prepared with cheese. To the staff's credit, they immediately remade the sandwich and delivered it my table quite quickly (far faster than my original order) and with an extra bag of chips. This would have been a much bigger issue had I been a drive-through customer.
It feels like the local team is working very hard but struggling. They likely need Corp team support to address the performance challenges to transform the hard work into effective work.

Came here 12/4/25, 7 out of 17 tables were dirty.
Came in to treat my elderly parents to a meal and was extremely disappointed. I ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup for myself and the person brought it to the table, I looked at it and it had possibly 4-5 tablespoons of LIQUID. I explained that I want soup in my soup bowl.
The woman looked at me with an attitude and said “so you want me to take out noodles and add liquid?”… that was beyond puzzling to say the least. The bowl barely had anything in it to begin with. I don’t even know why I bother going to Panera anymore.
